Alright, let me tell ya ’bout this fella, Harris English. Don’t know much ’bout golf myself, but I heard some things, ya know? Like gossip from the neighbors, but ’bout golf.
So, this Harris fella, he plays golf, plays it real good apparently. Folks say he’s won some big shindigs, PGA Tour they call it. Sounds fancy, huh? Like them city folks with their highfalutin ways.
They say he won four times. Four times! That’s a lot, even for someone who ain’t never held a golf club in her life. One time, in 2021, at somethin’ called the Travelers Championship. Folks were yappin’ ’bout that one for a while. Big deal, I guess.
- He started playin’ in the big leagues, the PGA Tour, back in 2011.
- Seems he’s good at hittin’ the ball straight, they call it “exactness off the tee.” Whatever that means. Guess it’s important in golf.
Now, before that 2021 win, it seems like he hadn’t won nothin’ for a long time. Seven years they say, and 192 starts. That’s a heap of golfin’ without winnin’. Musta been tough, even for a tough fella like him, I reckon.
But then, bam! He wins the Sentry Tournament of Champions. Had to fight for it too, in a playoff they call it. Against some fella named Niemann. Sounds like a real nail-biter, like when you’re waitin’ for the rain to come and save the crops.
And get this, he won that big tournament with an old putter. A putter, that’s what they use to get the ball in the hole, I think. He used the same one he had back in college and when he first started out. Guess it was lucky, or maybe he just knew how to use it real good. Like an old pair of boots that just fit right, ya know?
They also say he had a rough patch, had to go back to some other tour, Korn Ferry Tour Championship they call it, in 2019. But he bounced back, like a good weed after a storm. Got hisself back in shape and started playin’ good again. Got four top 10 finishes in just six events. That’s pretty darn good, even I can figure that out.
PGA Tour Wins, that’s what they talk about when they talk about Harris English. And money too, lots of money. I heard them fellas can win big bucks. Millions, they say. Can you imagine? More money than I’ve seen in my whole life, probably more than my whole town has seen.
They say the winner gets a big chunk of the prize money, somethin’ like 18 percent. So if the whole pot is 10 million dollars, that’s a whole lotta dough. Enough to buy a whole lotta chickens, that’s for sure.
This fella, Tringale, they say he made a lot of money without ever winnin’. Top money maker for a while. Can you believe that? Guess just playin’ good is enough sometimes. But winnin’ is better, I reckon. Everyone likes a winner.
So that’s the story of Harris English, as far as I can tell. A good golfer, won some big tournaments, made some money, and had his ups and downs. Just like life, ya know? Ups and downs, but you just gotta keep swingin’, or keep plantin’ seeds, or keep doin’ whatever it is you do. That’s what I always say.
And if he keeps winnin’ those PGA Tour shindigs, I’m sure we’ll hear more ’bout him. Maybe even I’ll understand a little more ’bout this golf thing. But for now, that’s all I got.
Harris English’s Career is somethin’ to talk about, I guess. He seems like a hard worker, and that’s somethin’ I can appreciate. Hard work and a little bit of luck, that’s all you need in this life, whether you’re golfin’ or farmin’ or just tryin’ to get by.
