Okay, so, I’ve been messing around with Honkai Impact 3rd again lately, and you know how it goes – you start getting all these new characters and you’re like, “Who’s good? Who should I be leveling up?” So, I decided to dive deep and make my own tier list. Gotta figure out where everyone stands, right?
First, I pulled out my phone and started playing a bunch of stages. I wanted to refresh my memory on how each character feels in combat. I tried out all my Valkyries, even the ones I hadn’t touched in ages. Then I started jotting down some notes. I made little comments about their damage output, their survivability, how easy they are to use, you know, the usual stuff.
After that, I decided I needed to be a little more organized. So I opened up a spreadsheet on my laptop. Yeah, I know, super nerdy, but it really helps! I listed all the characters down the side and then made some columns for different categories like “Physical Damage,” “Elemental Damage,” “Support,” and “Control.”
My Evaluation Process
- Played through a bunch of different game modes like Memorial Arena, Abyss, and story stages. This helped me see how each character performed in various situations.
- Paid close attention to how quickly they could clear stages, how much damage they took, and how often I needed to use support skills.
- Took a ton of notes! I mean, pages of notes. I wrote down everything I could think of about each character’s strengths and weaknesses.
- Compared my experiences with some tier lists I found online and some discussions in the community. Just to see if I was totally off-base with any of my assessments.
Then came the fun part – well, maybe not “fun” exactly, more like “headache-inducing.” I started ranking them. I went back and forth on a few characters. Like, I initially thought one Valkyrie was amazing, but then after more testing, I realized she wasn’t as versatile as I first thought. Then I have to go change her ranking. And another one, I initially rated pretty low, but then I discovered this crazy combo that made her a beast. So, up the list she went!
It took me a good few days, honestly, of playing, testing, and tweaking. There was a lot of second-guessing and rearranging. But finally, I had a tier list that I felt pretty good about. It’s not perfect, of course. Everyone has their own playstyle, and what works for me might not work for everyone else. Also, new content can change the rank. But, it’s a solid starting point, and it definitely helped me figure out who I should be focusing on in my own game. At last, I finished my tier list!
