Getting My Hands on Druud Scrap in Crownfall
Alright, so this new Crownfall event dropped in Dota 2, and I saw this Druud fella needed some scrap. Like everyone else, I wanted to figure out how to get this stuff. It wasn’t immediately obvious, let me tell you.

First thing I did, naturally, was just jump into the Crownfall map. I clicked around a bit, looked at the different paths and shops showing up. Played a few regular games, hoping maybe it dropped randomly or something. Nope, didn’t see any scrap coming my way just from playing.
Then I started looking closer at the event map itself, the story thing. I saw there were different paths you could take, needing tokens to unlock nodes. I figured the scrap must be hidden somewhere in there.
My Process Went Something Like This:
- I started playing games specifically to earn those Crownfall coins or tokens, whatever they’re called. You seem to get them just by playing matches, more if you win.
- I began spending these tokens to move along the main quest path on the Crownfall map. Just clicking ‘unlock’ on the next available spot.
- I kept an eye out on the rewards for each node I unlocked. Some gave silly stuff, some gave more tokens, and others gave actual items.
- Eventually, as I progressed through one of the main story acts or paths (I think it was just following the default route they give you at the start), I hit specific nodes that listed “Druud Scrap” as the reward. It wasn’t a random drop, it was a fixed reward for reaching certain points on the map.
- So, I made sure I had enough tokens, clicked the unlock button on that specific node, and boom, the Druud Scrap was added to my event inventory.
It wasn’t super complicated once I figured it out, but it wasn’t just handed out either. You basically have to play the game, earn the event currency, and then spend it moving along the designated paths on the Crownfall map. The scrap is locked behind specific progress points on that map. Just keep playing and unlocking nodes, and you’ll run into it as a reward eventually.
