Alright, so I jumped into Wuthering Waves the other day, same as usual. Been hearing folks talk about this ‘shooting party’ thing that popped up. Not sure if it’s an event or just some corner of the map I missed. Sounded different, figured I’d check it out myself.

Didn’t really go in with a plan. Just grabbed my go-to character, the one I usually use for picking off annoying ranged mobs. Thought it’d be straightforward, you know? Point, shoot, collect whatever loot they’re giving out.
Finding the Spot and First Tries
Found the area marked for it. Wasn’t too hard to locate. Kicked it off and suddenly these targets started appearing. Okay, simple enough. But man, they were quick. And kinda small. My first few rounds were garbage, barely hit anything consistently. The aiming felt a bit… off? Maybe it’s just me, but it didn’t feel as tight as usual combat.
Okay, Rethink Time
My score was pretty bad. Realized my usual approach wasn’t working here. This wasn’t about hitting hard, it was about hitting fast and hitting many. So, I swapped characters. Went for someone with a quicker attack cycle. Didn’t even look at their stats much, just needed that speed.
- Focused on just getting shots out, less on perfect aiming.
- Tried leading the moving targets a bit more.
- Learned the spawn patterns after a few failures.
Making Some Progress
Switching characters definitely helped. Started landing more hits, chaining combos better. The score began to climb. It wasn’t amazing, but it was better than the mess I started with. It felt less like a test of skill and more like learning a weird rhythm game pattern.

Spent maybe 30-40 minutes just repeating it. Found the controls a bit fiddly for this specific task. Like, the main game combat feels fine, but for this rapid-fire target thing? It struggled a bit. Or maybe I struggled. Hard to tell sometimes.
Got the main rewards eventually. Some materials, a bit of currency. Nothing groundbreaking, just standard event fare. Honestly, it felt a bit tacked on. Like someone decided they needed a mini-game and threw this together. It works, technically. But it wasn’t super engaging after the initial tries. Just another thing to grind through for the rewards list.
So yeah, that was my experience with the Wuthering Waves shooting party thing. Tried it, fumbled a bit, changed tactics, got the stuff. It passed the time, but I’m probably not going back to it unless they force me to for another event. Back to exploring and fighting normally for me.
