Alright, so the other day I decided it was time to freshen up the rosters on my MLB The Show 23 game. I hadn’t updated them in a while, and I wanted to see what the latest lineups looked like.
First thing I did was boot up the game and just started messin’ around in the menus. I poked around a bit, but honestly, I wasn’t really sure where to find what I was looking for. I’m no tech whiz, so I just started clicking on anything that seemed like it might be related to rosters or updates.
After a few minutes of aimless clicking, I stumbled upon something called “Settings”. Figured that was as good a place as any to start, so I went in there. In the “Settings” menu, there was an option called “File Management”. That sounded promising, so I selected it.
Updating My Rosters
- Booted up MLB The Show 23.
- Navigated to the main menu.
- Clicked on “Settings”.
- Selected “File Management”.
- Chose “Load”.
- Picked “Live Roster”.
In the “File Management” section, there were a few choices, but one of them was “Load”. Seemed like that was the one I needed, so I clicked it. And there it was, plain as day: “Live Roster”. I selected that, and boom, the game started updating the rosters right then and there.
It took a little while for the update to finish, but once it was done, I had the most up-to-date rosters. I was pretty stoked! I went in and checked out some of my favorite teams, and sure enough, all the players were where they should be.
I saw that Shohei Ohtani’s H/9 was at 98 for the Angels. I knew he’s a beast, but that’s impressive!
So yeah, that’s how I updated the rosters on MLB The Show 23. It wasn’t too hard once I figured out where to look. Now, every week or so, I can just go in and update the rosters again to keep everything current. It’s pretty sweet.
