Alright, let’s dive into my journey setting up my Apex Legends game like iiTzTimmy. I’ve always admired his gameplay, and I thought, “Why not try out his settings?” It might give my gameplay a little boost, or at least that’s what I hoped.

Getting Started

First off, I started gathering all the information I could find about iiTzTimmy’s settings. I watched a bunch of his streams and some YouTube videos where he talks about his setup. It wasn’t easy piecing everything together, but I managed to get a good idea of what he uses.

The Mouse

So, iiTzTimmy rocks a Logitech G Pro X Superlight. I already had that mouse, lucky me, so I didn’t need to buy a new one. I made sure it was all set up and ready to go. The big thing here is the sensitivity. I dug around and found that he plays with a pretty low sensitivity, which is supposed to help with accuracy. I plugged in his settings, but man, it felt weird at first. My crosshair was moving slower than a snail!

Keyboard Action

Next up, the keyboard. He uses a Higround Summit 65. Now, I don’t have that exact one, but I do have a decent mechanical keyboard. The important part here wasn’t the specific model but the keybinds. I spent a good chunk of time rebinding my keys to match his setup. It was a bit of a pain, especially since I was so used to my old layout. But hey, I was committed to this experiment.

Monitor and Video Settings

Now, iiTzTimmy plays on a high-refresh-rate monitor, which I also have. I made sure my monitor was mounted properly using a mount he uses – gotta get that ergonomic setup just right, you know? Then, I jumped into the video settings in Apex Legends. This is where things got interesting. I copied his resolution, FOV, and all those other little details. It felt like I was transforming my game into a whole new experience.

Putting It All to the Test

With everything set up, it was time to jump into some games. Let me tell you, the first few matches were rough. I was missing shots I’d normally hit, and my movement felt all over the place. It was like learning to play the game all over again. But I kept at it, playing match after match, trying to get used to these new settings.

Getting the Hang of It

Slowly but surely, I started to see some improvement. My aim was getting steadier, and I was starting to hit those flick shots that iiTzTimmy is famous for. It felt good, like I was unlocking a new level of my gameplay. I still wasn’t quite at iiTzTimmy’s level, but I could definitely feel a difference.

The Verdict

So, after all this, was it worth it? I’d say yeah, it was. It was a fun experiment, and I did see some improvement in my gameplay. It wasn’t a magical transformation, but it was enough to make me appreciate the importance of having good settings. Plus, it was cool to see the game from a different perspective, literally.

Final Thoughts

In the end, I learned that copying someone else’s settings isn’t a guaranteed path to success, but it can be a great starting point. It’s all about finding what works best for you and tweaking things until they feel just right. And who knows, maybe I’ll even come up with my own unique setup someday. Until then, I’ll keep grinding and trying to improve, one match at a time.

But remember, it’s not just about the settings, it’s also about practice and having fun. Don’t get too caught up in trying to be exactly like someone else. Just enjoy the game and keep playing!

  • Started by gathering info on iiTzTimmy’s settings from streams and videos.
  • Used a Logitech G Pro X Superlight mouse, adjusting sensitivity to match his.
  • Rebound keyboard keys to mimic his setup, using my own mechanical keyboard.
  • Adjusted monitor settings and in-game video settings to his preferences.
  • Played many matches to get used to the new settings, initially struggling but eventually improving.
  • Concluded that it was a worthwhile experiment, leading to some gameplay improvements and a new perspective on settings.

It was a pretty interesting experience, and I’m glad I gave it a shot. If you’re thinking about trying out someone else’s settings, I say go for it. Just be prepared to put in some time to get used to them, and don’t be afraid to make adjustments along the way.
