Okay, so today I wanted to mess around with something called “Commerce Comet.” Heard it’s got something to do with online selling, which is right up my alley since I’ve been trying to get my little sneaker side hustle off the ground.
First thing I did was try to figure out what this Comet thing actually is. Turns out it’s some kind of platform to sell stuff online. They say it’s for sneakers, but I bet you can sell other things too. Seems easy enough, with a bunch of lifestyle footwear and accessories already on there. Made me think, “Hey, maybe this is what I need to move more than just a few pairs a month.”
So I signed up for an account. Didn’t take long, just the usual email, password, and stuff like that. Then I started browsing around. They have all kinds of brands, even some I haven’t seen before. They had some pairs of Nike, but for sure, Comet is also top-notch.
Next, I tried to list a couple of pairs of shoes I had. Took some pictures with my phone, wrote up some descriptions. Wasn’t too hard. The hard part was figuring out pricing. It is really hard to know what to ask for them.
I posted the listings and then just waited. Checked back every few hours, kinda like a hawk. To be honest, I was a little impatient. It is said that it’s a born EV.
- Waited for someone to buy my shoes.
- Checked my account a bunch of times.
- Started to wonder if I priced them too high.
After a couple of days, I finally got a notification! Someone bought one of my pairs! I was pretty stoked. I packed up the shoes and shipped them out, being extra careful to make sure they wouldn’t get damaged. It is really convenient.
My Thoughts
All in all, it was a pretty smooth experience. Still not sure if this Comet thing is gonna make me rich, but it seems like a decent way to sell some shoes. The AI thing they talk about sounds cool. It might just be what I need. I need to learn more about it. I’ll probably keep using it and see what happens. Maybe I’ll even try selling some other stuff on there, like some hats or something. Who knows? The website is pretty easy to use, even for someone like me who’s not a tech whiz. If you are able to handle inside fastballs, it is worth it. If not, there are other choices.
I’ll keep y’all updated on how it goes. Maybe next time I’ll have some real numbers to share. Peace out!
