Alright, let’s talk about this fella, Eric Cole, the golfer. Heard a bunch of folks chatterin’ ’bout him, so I figured I’d spill the beans, you know, tell ya what I know.
So, who’s this Eric Cole fella anyway? Well, from what I gather, he’s an American fella, born in 1988. Lives down in Delray Beach, Florida. Sounds fancy, right? Delray Beach…prob’ly got them big ol’ palm trees and fancy houses everywhere.
This Eric, he ain’t no spring chicken, been around the block a few times. He’s a golfer, plays professionally. Means he gets paid to whack them little white balls around, which is more than I can say for my lazy nephew, bless his heart.
- Eric Cole’s Early Days: Now, I ain’t gonna lie, I don’t know much about his early life. Probably started hitting balls when he was just a wee lad. You know how these golfers are, start ’em young, I always say. But I heard tell he played a whole bunch on somethin’ called the Minor League Golf Tour. Won a whole heap of times, too. 56 times they say! Must be pretty good, huh? He even won their big championship thingy, not once, but twice! Once in 2009 and then again way later in 2021. Guess he just kept on keepin’ on, like my ol’ mule, stubborn as a…well, you know.
- Moving on Up to the Big Leagues: So, after playin’ in them minor leagues for a spell, Eric, he got himself a PGA Tour card. That’s like the big time for golfers. Means he gets to play with the real fancy fellas, the ones you see on TV. Took him a while, mind you. They said he was already in his 30s, when he got his PGA Tour card. Folks said he was ranked pretty low too, like 330th in the world, and didn’t make much money at first. But that didn’t stop him, no sirree.
- 2023: Eric Cole’s Big Year: Now, 2023, that was a big year for Eric. He really came into his own. Folks started noticin’ him, started talkin’ about him. He even got named the Rookie of the Year! That’s a big deal, you know, means he was the best new guy on the tour. Imagine that! An old fella like him, bein’ the best new guy! Goes to show, it ain’t never too late to shine, I always say. This fella, Eric, he went from nobody to somebody pretty darn quick. He even went on some golf show, somethin’ called Golf Today, to talk about it. Prob’ly had a whole bunch to say, that one.
- What’s in Eric Cole’s Golf Bag? Now, I don’t know much about golf clubs, but I heard some folks talkin’ about what Eric uses. Seems he likes somethin’ called PXG, got a driver and some irons from them. Also got a TaylorMade wood thingy and some Titleist wedges and a ball too. Sounds like fancy stuff. Probably costs more than my whole house, if I had to guess. He uses two types of irons, one is called 0317 ST (5-PW) and the other one is 0317 CB (4). Don’t ask me what that means, I ain’t got a clue. But the fellas who know about golf, they say it’s good stuff.
- Eric Cole and the LIV Golf Thing: And just recently, I heard tell about some other golf thing, LIV Golf, and this fella Eric is mixed up in it somehow. Seems like there was a competition, and a fella named Max Lee won it and now he gets to play in LIV Golf. I ain’t quite sure how it all works, but it sounds like a big deal. This LIV Golf, it’s different than the PGA Tour, I reckon. More money, maybe? Who knows. All I know is Eric Cole is part of this whole golf world, and he’s makin’ a name for himself.
So, what do I think of Eric Cole? Well, I ain’t met the man, but he seems like a hard worker. Didn’t give up, even when he was older and nobody knew his name. He kept on swingin’ them clubs, kept on playin’ golf, and now he’s a big shot. That’s somethin’ to admire, I reckon. Shows that if you stick to somethin’, even if it takes a while, you can make somethin’ of yourself.
Final Thoughts on Eric Cole: He’s a good golfer, this Eric Cole. Plays on the PGA Tour, won Rookie of the Year, uses fancy clubs, and is now somehow involved with this new LIV Golf thing. He’s made a name for himself, and that’s more than most folks can say. Good for him, I say. Good for him.
Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go feed my chickens. They’re probably squawkin’ up a storm by now.
