This Eric, he ain’t no spring chicken, been around the block a few times. He’s a golfer, plays professionally. Means he gets paid to whack them little white balls around, which is more than I can say for my lazy nephew, bless his heart.

You know how these golfers are, start ’em young, I always say. But I heard tell he played a whole bunch on somethin’ called the Minor League Golf Tour. Won a whole heap of times, too. 56 times they say! Must be pretty good, huh? He even won their big championship thingy, not once, but twice! Once in 2009 and then again way later in 2021. Guess he just kept on keepin’ on, like my ol’ mule, stubborn as a…well, you know.

So, what do I think of Eric Cole? Well, I ain’t met the man, but he seems like a hard worker. Didn’t give up, even when he was older and nobody knew his name. He kept on swingin’ them clubs, kept on playin’ golf, and now he’s a big shot. That’s somethin’ to admire, I reckon. Shows that if you stick to somethin’, even if it takes a while, you can make somethin’ of yourself.
