Okay, so I’ve been digging into this whole Lee Corso thing, you know, the guy from College GameDay? Figured I’d share what I found, ’cause it’s kinda interesting.
Who is Lee Corso?
So, I started off just trying to figure out what this guy’s deal is. Lee Corso. Turns out, he’s been on ESPN’s College GameDay forever. I mean, he’s an OG. I read somewhere that he’s the only one left from the original crew. The show got its start in the late 80s, and he was there from near the start, 1987. Joined as an analyst in 1989. That’s some serious dedication, right?
Before the Television
- Before he was making picks with that headgear, he was a coach.
- I saw he coached for like, 28 years, in both college and the pros. So the guy definitely knows football.
Personal Life
I was curious about his personal life too. Turns out, he’s been married to the same woman, Betsy, since 1957. That’s like, a lifetime! They’ve got four kids and ten grandkids. A big family. That’s pretty wholesome.
Lee Corso Age
Now, the big question: how old is Lee Corso? This is where it gets wild. The guy’s 89! 89 years old and still on TV, doing his thing. It’s honestly pretty inspiring. He has become an icon of “College GameDay”.
Lee and Kirk
I also learned he’s got this awesome partnership with Kirk Herbstreit on the show. They’ve been working together for decades, and you can tell they’re genuinely good friends. It’s one of those cool relationships that just works, you know?
Still Going Strong
So yeah, that’s what I found out about Lee Corso. 89 and still going strong. And he has created such a long-lasting relationship with Kirk. He’s a legend in the sports world, and it seems like he’s a pretty good guy too. I just wanted to share my little deep dive. Hope you guys found it as interesting as I did!
