Yesterday, my friend recommended this TV show called “Twenty Five Twenty One”, and I watched it all night. Man, the storyline is really something.
It’s set in the late 1990s during the IMF crisis. This high school girl, she’s a fencer, and her dream is almost crushed because of all the financial trouble. But she doesn’t give up. She keeps chasing her dream, even though there are tons of obstacles.
- I watched the first episode, and I was hooked.
- Then I just kept watching, episode after episode.
- I didn’t even realize it was getting light outside.
The show made me think about my own dreams. Sometimes, it feels like they’re impossible to reach, you know? But seeing this girl’s determination, it kinda inspired me.
I remember back in college, I wanted to be a musician. I practiced guitar every day, wrote songs, even formed a band. But then, life happened. I needed a stable job, so I put my music dream aside.
Watching this show made me realize that maybe it’s not too late. I mean, I can still play music, right? It doesn’t have to be my main job, but I can still enjoy it.
So, I dug out my old guitar from the closet. It was dusty, and the strings were rusty, but I cleaned it up and started playing. It felt good, like meeting an old friend.
I’m not sure if I’ll ever perform on a big stage, but that’s okay. I’m just happy to play music again.
The process:
- Started watching the show.
- Got inspired by the main character.
- Remembered my old dream.
- Found my old guitar.
- Cleaned it up.
- Started playing again.
It’s funny how a TV show can make you reflect on your life. It’s like, “Hey, don’t forget your dreams!”
Anyway, I just wanted to share this with you guys. Maybe it’ll inspire someone else to pick up their old hobbies or chase their dreams, no matter how old they are.
Letting something go does not mean its lost forever, there are lesson to be learned, you know what I mean?
Later in the evening, I saw some other people online also talking about this drama, saying it is unfiltered feel good but also at times, it is a really touching TV show, I totally agreed with that!
