Okay, so today I was digging into this guy, Jeff Rhodes, over at TPG. I heard about him a few times and decided it was time to really see what he’s up to.
I started by just doing a basic search on him. You know, typed “Jeff Rhodes TPG” into the search bar and hit enter. A bunch of stuff popped up, but it was all pretty standard, not much juicy info.
Then I went deeper. I wanted to see what kind of deals he’s been involved in. Checked out some financial news sites and saw that he’s been a part of some big moves. But that was like on the surface only, nothing too specific.
After that, I decided to look at TPG’s own website. They had a team page, and of course, Jeff Rhodes was there. I saw his title and read through his bio. They talked about his background, where he went to school, and some of the companies he’s worked with before. It was kind of interesting but also a bit boring.
Next, I thought, “Maybe there are some interviews with him out there?” I looked around for any video or audio clips of him speaking at conferences or events. Found a couple of things, but they were all pretty generic. He talked about market trends and investment strategies, you know, the usual stuff.

Honestly, it wasn’t the most exciting deep dive I’ve ever done. I was hoping to find some more personal stuff, like maybe a hobby of his or what he does for fun, but no luck there. Seems like he keeps his private life pretty private.
In the end, I got a basic understanding of who Jeff Rhodes is and what he does at TPG. He’s clearly a big player in the finance world, but getting the real dirt on him? Not so easy. Maybe I’ll try again another day when I have more time. It is not easy to get the details you want. Maybe next time I will have better luck.
