Okay, so, a while back, I got really into golf. Not playing it, mind you, but watching it. And, of course, I started following Jordan Spieth. The guy’s a legend, right? Three-time major champ! Anyway, I got curious about his gear, you know, his “WITB” – What’s In The Bag. So, I started digging.
First, I looked up his golf ball. Turns out, he uses the Titleist Pro V1x. Makes sense, a top player using a top ball. Then I moved on to his clubs. He’s got a pretty interesting setup.
Wedges
This is where it got really fun. Spieth’s a beast with his short game. And his wedges? He uses a Vokey T Grind for his 60-degree wedge. Apparently, this T Grind is the go-to for players who like to get fancy around the green, you know, open the face, hit all kinds of different shots. Just like Spieth does. I watched some videos of him using it, and it’s like he’s painting with that club.
Sponsor
- Then there’s his sponsor, Under Armour. He’s been with them since, like, 2013. They even gave him a new ten-year deal in 2015.
- I read somewhere that this deal is worth, like, eight figures a year. Eight figures! Can you imagine?
- That’s a lot of money. No wonder the guy’s net worth is estimated to be around $120 million. Crazy, right?
So yeah, that’s what I found out about Jordan Spieth’s gear and his sponsor. It’s always interesting to see what the pros are using, and how much money is involved in these big endorsement deals. It’s a whole different world out there. I’m still just a golf-watching fan, but now I know a bit more about what goes on behind the scenes.
