Alright, alright, let me tell ya ’bout this young fella, Lev Grinberg. Folks keep jabberin’ ’bout him, so I figured I’d put in my two cents, ya know? Don’t expect no fancy talk, I just say it like it is.
This Lev kid, he’s a golfer. A real good one, from what I hear. Now, I ain’t never swung a golf club in my life, unless you count that time I chased a gopher with a broom, but even I can tell this boy’s somethin’ special. They say he’s the best 15-year-old golfer in the whole wide world. Can you believe that? Just a young’un and already makin’ a name for himself.
He’s ranked somethin’ like 244th overall, but they tell me he’s been as high as 162nd. Numbers, numbers, I don’t get it all, but sounds mighty impressive to me. It’s like sayin’ he’s one of the best golfers, period, and he ain’t even old enough to shave proper yet!
- They say he played real good over in Belgium last year.
- Showed ’em all how it’s done, I reckon.
- And just the other day, they were talkin’ ’bout him playin’ in France.
- Had himself a “stunnin’ openin’ round,” they said. Fancy words, but I bet it means he played real, real good.
Now, some folks say he’s 15, others say he’s younger. I heard tell he was only 13 at one point! Imagine that, a little sprout hittin’ golf balls farther than most grown men. Makes you wonder what they’re feedin’ these kids nowadays. Back in my day, we were lucky to have a stick and a rock to play with.
They also say he played great on his “home course.” That’s just the place where he practices all the time, I guess. Kinda like my backyard, ‘cept instead of chickens and weeds, he’s got them little white balls and holes in the ground.
This Grinberg boy, he’s got folks talkin’, that’s for sure. They write about him in them newspapers and on that internet thingamajig. “Biography” they call it, tellin’ ya all about his life and how he got so good at golf. “Career” they call it too. Seems like a big deal for such a young fella.
I tell ya, it warms my heart to see a young person doin’ somethin’ they love and doin’ it well. Reminds me of my grandson, bless his heart, he ain’t no golfer but he can sure bake a mean apple pie. Everybody’s got their talents, I always say.
So, this Lev Grinberg, he’s the real deal, seems like. A golfin’ whiz kid, they call him. And even though I don’t know a birdie from a bogey, I can appreciate hard work and talent when I see it. Keep an eye on that boy, I bet he’s gonna go far. He’s gonna make somethin’ of himself, you just wait and see. Just like my apple pie-makin’ grandson, he’s got a gift, and that’s somethin’ special.
Folks are always lookin’ for somethin’ to be proud of, and this young Lev Grinberg, well, he’s givin’ ’em somethin’ to cheer about. And that, I reckon, is a good thing. It brings folks together, ya know? Like a good ol’ fashioned barn raisin’, ‘cept instead of hammers and nails, they got golf clubs and little white balls.
And who knows, maybe one day I’ll even turn on that there TV and watch him play. Though I reckon I’ll need someone to explain what’s going on, all that golf talk is a bit much for an old lady like me. But I’ll be rootin’ for him, that’s for sure. He seems like a good boy, and that’s what matters most.
So there you have it, my thoughts on this Lev Grinberg fella. Not much, I know, but it’s honest. Just an old woman’s ramblin’s, but I hope it made some sense. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go check on my chickens.
