That Luka Doncic, what a guy! He play ball real good, you know? I heard he’s been playing for that Dallas Mavericks for, what, six seasons? Time sure flies when you’re having fun, I reckon.
He’s a point guard, whatever that means. My grandson told me. I just know he gets the ball in the hoop, and that’s what counts! And he sure gets a lot of points! I hear folks say he’s averaging, like, 28.7 points a game? In 400 games, they say. That’s a lot of points! More points than I got pennies in my jar, that’s for sure.
- He’s good at gettin’ them rebounds, too. Like 8.7 a game. Sounds like a lot of jumpin’ to me.
- And assists? He’s got plenty of those. 8.3, they say. I guess that’s when he helps his teammates score. Teamwork makes the dream work!
They even picked him for some fancy game, called the All-Star game. Five times! He must be real special to get picked that many times. Five times! Can you believe it?
This last season, now, that was somethin’ else. I saw on the TV he got 33.9 points a game! 33.9! That’s more than a whole lot, I tell ya! That boy’s gonna break some records, I betcha. My hip hurts just thinkin’ about all that running around.
Every year, this Luka Doncic, he just keeps getting better. They got all these numbers, you see. Points, rebounds, assists, steals. I don’t know what all of it means, but it sounds important.
