I’ve been a huge Messi fan for years, and I collect all kinds of Messi stuff. So when the 2022 World Cup rolled around, I knew I had to get my hands on some Messi stickers.
First, I started by hitting up the usual spots online. You know, the big online marketplaces and auction sites. I typed in “Messi 2022 sticker” and scrolled through the results. There were tons of options, some individual stickers, some in packs, some official, and some not so official.
I compared prices and looked for sellers with good reviews. I wanted to make sure I wasn’t getting ripped off and that the stickers were decent quality. I also checked out some smaller, independent online shops. Sometimes you can find some really unique designs that way, made by other fans and artists.
After a bit of browsing, I decided to buy a few different packs from different places. I got a pack of the official Panini World Cup stickers, because, well, it’s Panini. You gotta have those. But I also found some cool custom designs on some artist’s web shops, like some unique designs of Messi lifting the World Cup trophy. I ordered these items from these websites.
Then came the waiting game. It took a few days, but finally, the packages started to arrive. I was like a kid on Christmas morning, tearing open the envelopes and flipping through the stickers. Some of them were awesome, exactly what I’d hoped for. Others were a little disappointing, the printing quality wasn’t great, or the design wasn’t as cool as it looked online.
I spent the next few days organizing my new stickers, putting them into a binder with protective sleeves. I also decorated my laptop and water bottle with a few of my favorites. It’s always fun to show off your collection.
What I learned
- Buying from different sources can get you a good mix of official and unique stickers.
- Reading reviews is important to avoid getting low-quality stuff.
- Sometimes the smaller, independent shops have the coolest designs.
Overall, it was a fun little project. I ended up with a bunch of new Messi stickers for my collection, and I discovered some cool artists along the way. It made watching the World Cup even more exciting.
