Alright, so you wanna know about this “Mets catcher Nido crossword clue” thing, huh? I ain’t no fancy crossword puzzle person, ya know. I’m just an old woman tryin’ to make sense of things. But I’ll tell ya what I know, the way I know it.
Seems like a lot of folks are lookin’ for this Nido fella in their crosswords. They keep sayin’ “Mets catcher Nido.” Well, I guess he plays for them Mets, the baseball team. My grandson, he likes baseball. Always yappin’ about it. He probably knows this Nido.
So, who is this Nido guy? He’s a catcher, that’s what they say. You know, the fella who squats down and catches the ball. Tough job, I tell ya. All that squattin’ and catchin’. My knees would never hold up.
They say he’s been in lots of crosswords. Like, lots and lots. One place said they found 40 possible answers! Forty! That’s a whole heap of answers for one fella. Another place said 30 answers. And another said just one. I don’t know why they can’t just make up their minds.
- One thing they said was “Mets catcher Nido last seen in Commuter puzzle.” See? They’re always lookin’ for him in these puzzles.
- Another said, “Mets catcher Nido clue. It was last seen in American quick crossword.” So, he’s in the quick ones too. Not just the hard ones.
- And then there’s “mets 99 catcher.” Maybe that’s the number he wears on his shirt? Like how them football players have numbers.
- Oh, and this one: “All-Star Mets catcher of the 1990s-2000s.” So, he was a good player, I guess? An All-Star. Sounds fancy. But hold on, the 1990s and 2000s? That was a long time ago. Maybe they’re talkin’ ‘bout a different Nido? Or maybe he’s been playin’ a real long time. Like that old fella on the TV, always talkin’ ‘bout cars.
Now, they got these “crossword solvers” too. Sounds like cheatin’ to me, but what do I know? They use these things to find the answers. Like, they type in “Mets catcher Nido” and the solver spits out the answer. Boom! Just like that. No thinkin’ involved.
It seems like sometimes folks are lookin’ for just “Nido.” Not even the Mets part. Just Nido. Maybe he’s famous enough now that you don’t need to say he plays for the Mets. Like, you know, you just say “Madonna” and everyone knows who you mean. Maybe Nido is like that for crossword people.
I heard somethin’ about a shirt, too. Seems like the Mets owner’s wife, she had a shirt with somethin’ on it, and then an artist made a sign, and it ended up in the dugout. I don’t rightly know what that has to do with crossword puzzles, but there ya go. Maybe the sign had Nido’s name on it? Who knows.
And, of course, the Mets. They’re a baseball team in New York City. Big city, lots of people. I’ve never been there myself. Too many cars and too much noise. I like it quiet out here in the country. But I guess if you’re a baseball player, New York City is the place to be.
So, there ya have it. That’s all I know about this “Mets catcher Nido crossword clue” thing. He’s a catcher, he plays for the Mets, and lots of people are lookin’ for him in their crosswords. And somethin’ about a shirt and a sign. Go figure. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go make some supper. This talkin’ makes a person hungry.
And remember, next time you’re stuck on a crossword, don’t go cheatin’ with them solver things. Use your brain! That’s what it’s there for.
