So, I wanted to talk about this crazy thing that happened to me, inspired by that Mike Perry nose incident.
You know, the one where he totally wrecked his nose in that UFC fight against Vicente Luque back in 2019? Yeah, that was brutal.
I started thinking, “What if I tried to recreate that, but, like, safely?”
So, I got this idea to use modeling clay. I know, I know, it sounds weird, but hear me out.
I got some clay and started messing around, trying to sculpt a nose.
First, I just rolled it out into a basic nose shape.
- Then, I started pinching and pulling it, trying to make it look all messed up, like Perry’s.
- I kept referencing pictures of his busted nose to get it just right. It was pretty gnarly, I’m not gonna lie.
- After a while, I finally got it to a point where it looked pretty similar to the real thing, all bent out of shape and stuff.
A Visual Experiment
It was just a fun little experiment, seeing if I could recreate something like that. Plus, it gave me a whole new appreciation for what these fighters go through. Getting punched in the face like that? No thanks!
I mean I remembered those pictures which the news said Mike Perry was taken to the hospital and he had breathing troubles and required surgery. Man, what a mess. I also saw some people online talking about how he was driving over the speed limit. I don’t know what’s true, but it made me think.
Anyway, I ended up taking some pictures of my clay nose, and I gotta say, it looked pretty realistic. It was a cool little project, and it taught me a bit about sculpting and the brutality of MMA.
This whole thing reminded me that even though I like watching these fights, I’m definitely not cut out for that kind of pain. I’ll stick to my clay, thank you very much.
And that’s my story about how I tried to recreate Mike Perry’s broken nose with clay. It was a weird, fun, and slightly disturbing little project.
From this I think maybe this dude had some anger issues, I heard he was released from UFC but who knows. But for me, I just want to say it was a crazy experiment trying to make that nose, and I’m glad I did it.
