Okay, so today I decided to tackle something I’ve been putting off for ages: creating a mini dharma wheel for my Animal Crossing: New Horizons island. I’ve seen some amazing designs online, and I finally felt inspired (and had enough free time) to give it a shot myself.

First, I gathered all my materials. Well, “gathered” in the virtual sense. I opened up my storage and checked my DIY recipes. Luckily, I already had the recipe for the regular dharma wheel. I knew I needed a customization kit, some wood, and…that was pretty much it, I think? My memory is a little fuzzy.
Next, I headed over to my trusty workbench. I always put it near the beach, because, you know, vibes. I selected the dharma wheel recipe and…disaster! I was short on regular wood. Ugh, classic me. Always running out of the basic stuff.
So, off I went, axe in hand, to chop some trees. I have this little grove of regular trees that I specifically keep for wood farming. It’s not the prettiest, but it gets the job done. After a few minutes of swinging, I had a nice pile of wood, and I dashed back to the workbench.
This time, success! I crafted the dharma wheel, no problem. Then came the fun part: customization! I opened up the customization menu and… Hmm. Only two options. Standard and… dark brown, I think? Not exactly the “mini” vibe I was going for.
I spent maybe 5 minutes staring at the two options, thinking about if I could make that dark brown color work. Maybe with other furniture.

I decided to use the dark brown and created my mini dharma!
I placed my brand new, slightly-smaller-than-I-imagined dharma wheel in a little Zen garden area I’ve been working on. It actually looks pretty good! Maybe not exactly what I pictured, but hey, that’s part of the fun of Animal Crossing, right? Improvising and making it your own.
