Alright, guys, so I wanted to figure out how to play against my buddies in MLB The Show 24. I’ve been itching to trash-talk them after some epic wins, so I dove in. Here’s how I went about it.
Figuring Out the Options
First, I launched the game and poked around the main menu. Honestly, it took me a minute to find where the online multiplayer stuff was hiding.
I noticed a few different modes, but I wasn’t sure which one was the right one for a simple game against friends.
Setting Up a Game
Finally after messing about the menu for a while, I could do one of 2 things, Send a game request, or, go into my profile, and find a friend there.
- Going to my profile I could find my friend.
- Finding my friend I could click invite to game.
- We both needed to have “cross-play” enabled.
- Choosing which teams we want, and starting the game!
Trash Talking Commences
Once I finally got into a game with my friend, it was awesome! We were both yelling at each other, making fun of bad swings, and celebrating home runs. It felt just like we were hanging out in person, even though we were miles apart.
So yeah, that’s the basic rundown of how I figured out playing against friends in MLB The Show 24. It might take a little menu exploration, but it’s totally worth it for the bragging rights!
