Okay, so I saw this “Monopoly GO Turkey Race” thing pop up, and I figured, why not? I’m always up for some extra dice rolls and stickers in Monopoly GO. Here’s how it went down for me.
Getting Started
First, I made sure my Monopoly GO app was updated. You know how it is, gotta have the latest version to get in on these events. Once that was all set, I opened the app and boom, there it was – the Turkey Race banner. I tapped on it, and it took me to the event page.
Figuring Out the Rules
I’ll admit, I didn’t read the instructions super closely at first. I just started rolling, figuring I’d pick it up as I went. Basically, you gotta land on certain tiles to earn points. It seemed like the Railroad tiles were the key ones, just like in other events.
My Strategy (Or Lack Thereof)
I’m not gonna lie, I didn’t have a real strategy. I was mostly just rolling and hoping for the best. I did notice that using a higher dice multiplier when I was close to a Railroad seemed to help a bit. But honestly, a lot of it just felt like luck.
- I started by just using my regular rolls, no multipliers. Just wanted to get a feel for it.
- Then, when I was like 6-8 spaces away from a Railroad, I’d bump it up to a x5 or x10 multiplier.
- If I had a ton of dice, I might even go for a x20 or x50, just for kicks.
The Grind
It took a while! I mean, these events always do. I was playing on and off throughout the day, whenever I had a few minutes. I definitely used up a good chunk of my dice stash. I had a couple of lucky streaks where I hit a bunch of Railroads in a row, and that really helped boost my points.
I also noticed getting points by landing on Chance, and sheilds when getting attacked.
The Rewards
I didn’t get all the way to the end, I gotta be honest. Real life calls, you know? But I did manage to snag some decent rewards. I got some extra dice rolls, a few sticker packs, and a good amount of in-game cash. Nothing super amazing, but hey, it’s free stuff, right?
Final Thoughts
Overall, the Turkey Race was a fun little distraction. It’s not gonna change your life, but it’s a nice way to get some extra goodies in Monopoly GO. If you’ve got some time to kill and dice to burn, give it a shot. Just don’t expect to get rich quick!
