Okay, so I stumbled across this “Nate Cullison” thing, and I figured, why not give it a shot? I’ve been meaning to mess around with new tools, so this was as good an excuse as any.

First, I had to figure out what this even was. I did some digging, and it turns out it’s related to… well, I’m still not 100% sure, honestly. Something about user interfaces? Or maybe data visualization? The information I found was kinda vague.
Anyway, I started by just trying to get it running. I’m pretty sure it need installed with something. I fumbled around, and it’s a bit confusing to follow. I eventually found a thing and I started to install it.
The Installation Struggle
- Step 1: Try to understand the very basic document.
- Step 2: Clicked around, trying different commands. Most of them didn’t work.
- Step 3: Finally, I got something that seemed like an installation prompt. Fingers crossed!
- Step 4: It churned for a while… and then, boom. Errors. Of course.
So, back to the drawing board. I went back, reread everything, and realized I missed a step. It needs something called by “abc…”. I quickly found and installed, then try to install it again.
This time, it seemed to work! At least, it didn’t throw any obvious errors. Progress!
Trying to Make It Do Something
Now that it was (hopefully) installed, I tried to actually use it. I looked for some examples, and honestly, they weren’t super helpful. A lot of assumed knowledge that, well, I didn’t have.

I messed around with some of the commands I found, just trying different things. I’m pretty sure I broke it a few times. I had to uninstall and reinstall it a couple of times, which was a pain.
Eventually, I managed to get something to happen. I think I created some kind of… interactive chart? Or maybe it was a graph? It wasn’t pretty, but it was something.
My (Very) Preliminary Conclusion
Honestly, I’m still not entirely sure what I’m doing with this Nate Cullison thing. It feels powerful, but also super confusing. I need to spend a lot more time with it to really figure it out.
My takeaway so far? It’s definitely not for beginners. If you’re not comfortable with, you know, and a bit of trial and error, you’re gonna have a bad time. But if you are willing to put in the work, it might be worth exploring. Maybe. I’ll keep you posted if I make any more progress.
