Today, I really wanted a new football jersey, specifically a Houston Cougars one. So, I started hunting around to see where I could snag one.
First, I checked out the official UH Team Shop. It’s run by some company called Follett, and apparently, it’s the real deal for Houston Athletics gear. They’ve got a stand in the Fertitta Center, behind section 104. I figured that’d be a good place to start, but I wanted to explore other options too.
Then, I found the University of Houston Bookstore. They had a ton of stuff – not just jerseys, but all kinds of clothing and accessories for game day. I saw they even had the new “Houston Blue” gear, which got me pretty excited. I made a mental note to check out their physical store as well as their online shop later.

Next, I stumbled upon the Cougars Bookstore online. They seemed to have the best assortment of Houston football clothing. Home jerseys, away jerseys, you name it. It looked like they had everything a fan could want. I browsed through their selection, trying to decide which jersey I liked best.
I also noticed that UH is pushing this “Houston Blue” merchandise pretty hard. They even had a big launch event for it, with students lining up early to get their hands on the new gear. It seems like a big deal for them, bringing back an old color scheme. I found it interesting to learn that their football team had this color in the past.

What I Ended Up Doing
After all that searching, I compared the jerseys I liked best from each store, weighed the prices and styles. Then, I finally picked the one I wanted and ordered it online from the Cougars Bookstore. Now I’m just waiting for my new Houston Cougars jersey to arrive. I’m already picturing myself wearing it to the next big game!
