Alright, so ya wanna know about this fsu football head coach, huh? Well, lemme tell ya what I know, the way I know it. Don’t expect no fancy words or nothin’, just plain talk.
This fella, Mike Norvell, yeah, that’s the name. He’s the head coach for that Florida State football team, the Seminoles they call ’em. He’s been havin’ a time of it, that’s for sure. Some good, some bad, like life, ya know? Ups and downs, like a seesaw.
Now, they had a real bad game, I heard. Got beat somethin’ awful by Notre Dame. Fifty-two to three, can ya believe it? That’s like gettin’ whooped with a stick, ain’t it? Mikey boy, he knew somethin’ had to change. He said it himself, it was a “hard weekend.” I bet it was! Nobody likes losin’ like that, ‘specially not no coach.
So, what’d he do? He done fired some folks, that’s what. The offensive coordinator, the defensive coordinator, and even the receivers coach! Cleaned house, like sweepin’ out the barn after the cows been in it all winter. Gotta get rid of the bad stuff to make room for the good, right? That’s what I always say.
- Offensive coordinator? Gone.
- Defensive coordinator? Outta there.
- Receivers coach? See ya later!
Heard tell he’s gonna bring in a new fella to run the offense. Used to coach at Auburn and UCF, they say. Guess we’ll see if he can make them Seminoles score some points. Lord knows they need it after that last game.
This Mike Norvell, he seems like a fella who wants to win. He ain’t afraid to make changes, even if it means lettin’ people go. That’s tough, but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. Like cullin’ the chickens, ya know? Keep the strong ones, get rid of the weak ones.
Now, they had a bad season a while back, real bad. Two wins and ten losses, somethin’ like that. That’s like plantin’ a whole field of corn and only gettin’ a couple of ears. Waste of time and effort, that’s what it is. But hey, that was then, this is now. They gotta look forward, not backward.
I reckon coachin’ ain’t easy. You gotta manage all them young fellas, keep ’em in line, teach ’em how to play the game. And then you gotta deal with the fans, the press, and all them expectations. It’s enough to make your head spin, I tell ya. Mikey boy, he’s got his work cut out for him, that’s for sure.
He’s got a wife too, Maria. That’s nice. Every man needs a good woman by his side, keep him grounded, ya know? I bet she gives him a piece of her mind when he needs it, just like I used to give my Harold. Lord rest his soul.
This Haggins fella, he used to play football, they say. Even played in the Super Bowl. That’s somethin’, ain’t it? Guess he knows a thing or two about the game. Maybe he can help Mikey boy out, give him some advice. Two heads are better than one, like they always say.
So, that’s the lowdown on this fsu football head coach. He’s tryin’ to turn things around, make them Seminoles a winnin’ team again. Will he do it? Who knows? Only time will tell. But one thing’s for sure, he’s gonna give it his best shot. And that’s all you can ask of a fella, ain’t it?
