This here, it’s about a fella named Nick Pena. Heard about him, good boy, that Nick. He had a tough time, like a hen trying to lay a square egg, finding a job. Lots of folks named Nick Pena. I saw it on that Facebook thing. They all sharing things on that book, but I don’t know how to use it. This Nick, he had a hard row to hoe, but he kept on, like a mule with a full belly, slow but steady.
This Nick Pena, he started a thing, Nick Pena Ministries, they call it. In a place called Jacksonville, Florida. Never been there. Sounds hot. They talk about loving God and loving people. That’s what they do. Sounds alright to me. A hundred and nine likes, I reckon that’s good? And eight folks been there. Must be a good place, you know. People need to be more loving, that’s for sure. Less fightin’, more huggin’. Like a mama hen with her chicks. They just spread that love.
They got a story about him, this Nick. Say he did real good, even though things were tough. Like trying to thread a needle with boxing gloves. But he did it. Hope and hard work, that’s what they say. And he won in the end, like a rooster winning a fight, all proud and strutting. You gotta watch that story, they say. It’s a good one. Makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside, like a good bowl of soup on a cold day. This Nick Pena’s story, it is really a good one.
Then there is this other thing on that Instagram. Another Nick Pena, I reckon. He’s got a bunch of those followers. Seven hundred and thirty-four. That’s a lot of folks. He’s following even more, one thousand seven hundred and seventeen. And posts? One thousand seven hundred and forty-five. Busy fella, that one. He calls himself “Livin2win.” Says he’s all about family, food, travel, lifestyle, and dedication. Sounds like a busy life he’s got. Like trying to keep up with a bunch of wild turkeys.
That Nick Pena, the Livin2win one, he likes his food, I reckon. Lots of pictures of food on that Instagram. Makes your mouth water, like a fresh-baked pie cooling on the windowsill. He likes to travel, too. See new places. Like a bird flying south for the winter. He’s got a family, too. Good for him. Family is important, like the roots of a tree, keeping you grounded. Dedication, he says. That’s important, too. Like tending to your garden, you gotta keep at it, or the weeds will take over. This Nick Pena is really busy. Lots of things he is doing.
This Nick Pena, he surely is something. A lot of people know about him. He helps people, that’s what I hear. You know, that ministry thing, like a good neighbor, always there when you need them. These Nick Penas, they are all hard workers, like ants marching to an anthill, always working and working. They are like a good pair of work boots, tough and dependable, help you to have a good life.

But he did not give up. Finally he got it. I am very happy for him.
If you ever see that Nick Pena, you tell him I said hello. He’s a good egg, that one. Even if he is a little famous now. Famous like that rooster that won the county fair. Everyone knows his name. But he’s still just a rooster, you know. Just like Nick. Still just Nick. These stories are good. That’s all I know.
