Alright, let’s talk about snagging that Overwatch 2 Hero Collection Bundle. I finally bit the bullet and got it, and here’s the lowdown on how it all went down. No frills, just the straight story.

First off, I was on the fence for ages. You know how it is – is it really worth it? I mean, I already had a bunch of heroes unlocked, but there were a few newer ones I was itching to play. So, after seeing it pop up on the * launcher again, I caved.
The actual purchase was easy peasy. Just clicked the button, went through the usual payment rigmarole, and bam – instant gratification. Or so I thought.
Here’s where things got a little… weird. I logged into Overwatch 2, expecting all the heroes to be unlocked and ready to roll. But no. Zilch. Nada.
I started panicking a bit. Had I just wasted my money? Was I gonna have to deal with a support ticket nightmare? I closed the game completely, restarted the * launcher, and launched Overwatch 2 again.
Still nothing. I went digging around in the game settings, hoping there was some “activate bundle” button hidden somewhere. Nope. Nada.

Then, it hit me. The good ol’ “wait and see” approach. I figured maybe the servers were just being slow, or there was some background process still chugging along. So, I decided to play a few quick matches with the heroes I already had, just to kill time.
And you know what? After about three games, ding! A notification popped up saying “Hero Collection Bundle activated.” Finally!
Sure enough, I checked the hero roster, and all the missing faces were there, ready to go. I immediately hopped into the practice range with Kiriko – been wanting to try her out forever. She’s pretty fun, by the way. Healing and headshots? Yes, please!
Lessons learned:
- Don’t panic if your stuff doesn’t show up right away. Give it a few minutes (and maybe a couple of matches).
- Server gremlins are real.
- Kiriko is awesome.
So, yeah, that’s the story of how I got the Hero Collection Bundle. A bit anticlimactic, maybe, but hey, at least I got my heroes in the end. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have some Overwatch to play.
