Alright folks, lemme tell you about my weekend dive into Gray Zone Warfare – specifically, that “Duty to the Country” mission. Man, what a ride!

First off, I spawned near that Lumber Yard. My initial thought? “Easy peasy, lemon squeezy.” Famous last words, right?
So, I started hoofing it towards the objective marker. Now, I’m not one for running around like a headless chicken, so I took my time, scanning every nook and cranny. You know, peek-a-boo around the corners, classic stuff.
Got to the building, and the place was crawling with Tangoes. I mean, seriously, it was like a damn shooting gallery. Popped a smoke grenade for some cover – that’s always my go-to move. Then, BANG, BANG! Started dropping ’em one by one. Took a couple of hits, gotta admit, but nothing a little bandage and painkiller couldn’t fix.
Cleared the first floor, thought I was in the clear. Nope. More showed up. This time, they were flanking me. Had to reposition, quick like. Found a nice little corner to hunker down in and just kept firing. Ammo was getting low, which started to make my palms sweaty.
Finally, after what felt like an eternity, the place was quiet. Looted the bodies, grabbed some extra mags – always a smart move. Then, I went upstairs. Figured that’s where the objective was.

And yup, I was right. Found the intel I needed. But as soon as I grabbed it, more enemies swarmed in. This time they were better equipped, I swear. Had to use every trick in the book: grenades, flanking maneuvers, even some good ol’ fashioned hip-firing. My heart was pounding!
Managed to clear them out, but I was beat to hell. Low on health, low on ammo, and my armor was basically shredded. But hey, I had the intel. Time to exfil.
Made my way back to the Lumber Yard extract point, keeping a close watch for any stragglers. Luckily, the area was clear. Called in the chopper, and waited with bated breath. Every creak, every rustle of leaves, had me on edge.
Chopper finally arrived, I hopped in, and we were outta there. Man, talk about a rush! Completed the “Duty to the Country” mission, and lived to tell the tale. Seriously, this game is intense! Can’t wait for my next adventure!
