Alright, so, let’s talk about this wrestling stuff, this “SmackDown” thing. I watched it last Friday, you know, the one, episode 43, I think they called it. Kids told me it was a big deal, so I sat down with my cup of tea and watched.
First off, there’s this fella, Sammy, yeah, Sami Zayn, running around like a chicken with its head cut off. He was trying to find some other wrestlers to join his group, the “Bloodline” they call it. Sounded like a whole lot of trouble to me. Like when my chickens get loose, gotta catch ’em all, one by one. He was lookin’ everywhere for a fifth member, all sweaty and bothered. Reminded me of my grandson trying to find his lost shoe before school.
- They had this Randy guy, Randy Orton. Big fella, strong as an ox. He was fightin’ someone, don’t remember who, but he was throwin’ ’em around like ragdolls. Good ol’ fashioned scrap, that was.
- Then there was this street fight. Two fellas, Carlito and Santos, used to be friends, now they’re beatin’ each other up with chairs and stuff. Lord, have mercy! Reminded me of the time old man Johnson and Mr. Peterson got into it over a fence line. Except these fellas were wearin’ fancy pants.
They kept showin’ these little videos, what they call “vignettes” I guess. Said somethin’ about new wrestlers comin’. Looked like tough folks, but we’ll see, won’t we? You can’t judge a book by its cover, that’s what my mama always said. Could be strong as horses, or could be weak as kittens. Time will tell.
And that “Bloodline” group, they were in some crazy ladder match. Ladders everywhere! Folks climbin’ and jumpin’ and fallin’. Looked dangerous, if you ask me. Reminded me of tryin’ to get them apples from the top of the tree last fall. Almost broke my neck then, sure did.
They also had this fella, CM Punk, he came back. Big surprise, they said. Joined the “Bloodline” too. Well, ain’t that somethin’. Folks switchin’ sides like socks in the laundry. Never know who’s with who these days. Reminds me of the time my neighbor’s cow wandered into my yard and started eatin’ my corn. Never saw that comin’ neither.
They started the show by showin’ what happened last time, and folks arrivin’ at the arena. Then this Cody Rhodes fella, he came out and talked. Said nice things about Kevin, whoever he is. Seemed like a polite young man. Always appreciate good manners, I do. My grandson could learn a thing or two from him, that’s for sure.
Oh, and they mentioned that Brock Lesnar fella breakin’ somebody’s stuff. Sounds like a troublemaker, that one. Reminds me of my nephew Billy when he was a boy, always breakin’ things. Guess some folks never change.
Anyways, that’s pretty much it. A whole lotta wrestlin’, a whole lotta shoutin’, and a whole lotta confusion for this old lady. But it was kinda fun, in a loud, crazy kinda way. Maybe I’ll watch it again next week, if my tea ain’t too hot and my chickens don’t get out again.
