Alright, let’s talk about this Rey Mysterio fella and his tattoos. I ain’t no expert, mind you, but I seen some pictures and heard some things. Seems like this guy’s got more ink than a newspaper, ya know?
First off, that 619 thing. Everybody knows that one. It’s on his arm, big and bold. Folks say it’s ‘cause he’s from some place called Chula Vista, California. Don’t know where that is, sounds fancy. Maybe it’s like one of them area codes or somethin’. He uses it all the time in the ring, so it must be important to him. He probably yells it out when he’s wrasslin’, “619! 619!” Just like them youngins yellin’ when they playin’ outside.
Then there’s all them tattoos for his brother. That’s real sad, you know? Losing family is hard. Real hard. He musta loved his brother somethin’ fierce to get all them tattoos. I ain’t got no tattoos myself, needles ain’t my thing. But I understand wanting to remember someone you love. It’s like keepin’ ‘em close to your heart, even when they gone.
I heard tell he went on some show, “Superstar Ink” they called it. Talked all about his tattoos. I ain’t seen it, don’t have that fancy cable stuff. But I bet he told some stories. Every tattoo has a story, they say. Like that time I got that scar on my hand from that darn rooster. That’s a story, ain’t it?
- Tattoos about his family. That’s what I heard. Brothers, maybe his kids too. Family’s important, ya know? Gotta stick together.
- Then there’s all them wrestling things. Masks and stuff. He wears a mask in the ring, so that makes sense. Probably got some skulls and other tough-guy stuff too. Wrestlers are like that, always gotta look tough.
I saw some pictures on that “Pint-interest” thing my grandkid showed me. Lots of folks like his tattoos. They got all sorts of pictures and ideas. Seems like he’s got a lot of ‘em, maybe even 37, someone said! That’s a whole lot of ink! Imagine sittin’ there for all that time, gettin’ poked with a needle. Must sting like a bee.
There’s this other wrestler, Eddie Guerrero, he had tattoos too. Religious ones, I think. Rey Mysterio probably got some like that too. Lots of folks down at the church got crosses and angels and such. It’s their way of showin’ their faith, I guess. Nothin’ wrong with that.
And then there’s his son, “Dirty” Dom they call him. He’s got tattoos too, even got masks of other wrestlers on him. Like father, like son, I reckon. Young folks these days, they love them tattoos. Can’t say I understand it, but it ain’t my place to judge.
So, what does it all mean? Well, I reckon it means Rey Mysterio is a man who cares about his family, his wrestling, and maybe his faith. He uses his tattoos to tell his story, to remember the people he loves, and to show the world who he is. He ain’t afraid to express himself, that’s for sure. Just like that rooster crowin’ in the mornin’, he’s makin’ himself heard.
It’s like wearin’ your heart on your sleeve, but instead of a sleeve, it’s all over your body. He’s a tough guy, that’s for sure, but he’s got a soft spot too. You can see it in them tattoos, if you look close enough. They ain’t just pictures, they’re memories, they’re feelings, they’re a part of him. And that’s somethin’ special, ya know?
