Getting Started with It
So, I kept seeing stuff about Rhea Ripley, you know? Mostly online, sometimes flicking through channels. And honestly, what caught my eye was just how strong she looks. Proper powerhouse vibe. It got me thinking, not that I’m trying to become a superstar wrestler or anything, but more like, what does that kind of strength feel like to work towards? Just curious, really.

Figuring Out What to Do
I didn’t go too deep, didn’t try to find some secret pro routine. Just did some basic searching, watched a few clips, got the general idea. Looked like a lot of heavy lifting, power moves. Seemed intense. So, I thought, okay, let’s try and piece together something simple based on that vibe. Nothing crazy, just a few exercises that felt like they fit the picture. Stuff like squats, maybe some overhead presses, rows. Basic strength stuff, but I planned to push myself a bit harder than usual.
Giving It a Go
Alright, so I set aside some time. Went down to the garage where I’ve got some weights. Nothing fancy, just enough. Put on some music to get in the zone. Started with squats. Went heavier than my normal routine. Felt it straight away in the legs, that deep burn. Then moved onto the overhead press. Man, pushing that weight up felt tough, really had to brace myself. Did some rows after that, trying to keep good form even though I was getting tired.
- Squats: Focused on going deep and heavy.
- Overhead Press: Really struggled on the last couple of reps.
- Bent-Over Rows: Tried to keep my back straight, pull hard.
It wasn’t a long workout, maybe 45 minutes total including warm-up and rests. But pushing that bit extra on each exercise made a difference.
How It Felt
Hard. Yeah, that’s the main word. It was definitely tougher than my usual workout. By the end of the presses, my shoulders were screaming a bit. And the squats definitely left my legs feeling like jelly afterwards. It wasn’t about the specific exercises being unique, more about the intensity I tried to bring, inspired by that powerhouse look, you know? Made me realize the kind of consistent effort that goes into building that kind of physique. It’s not just messing about.
Wrapping Up
So, what did I get out of it? Well, I was knackered, that’s for sure. But it felt good, like I’d actually challenged myself properly. It’s a good reminder that getting strong takes serious work. Seeing someone like Rhea Ripley, you see the end result, but trying even a little bit of that heavy work gives you a bit more respect for the process. Definitely felt it the next day. Might try adding a bit more of that heavy stuff into my routine going forward, not all the time, but just to push things now and then. It was a good little experiment.
