Alright, so you wanna know, has Rickie Fowler ever won a major? Well, lemme tell ya, the boy’s been tryin’, he’s been playin’ real good sometimes, but no, he ain’t won no major yet. Not yet, anyways.
Rickie Fowler and His Majors, A Real Heartbreaker
See, this Rickie fella, he’s a good golfer, a real popular one too, I hear. Lots of folks like him. He’s been up there, close to winnin’ those big tournaments, the majors they call ’em. He’s had a bunch of what they call “top finishes,” means he almost won, but not quite. Heard tell he’s got top-5 finishes in every single major, Masters, PGA, Open, all of ’em. But that darn win, it just keeps slippin’ through his fingers.
- He’s been close, real close.
- He keeps playin’ good, but somethin’ always happens.
- Maybe one day he’ll get that win, who knows?
Now, I ain’t no golf expert, mind you. I just watch it on the TV sometimes when there ain’t nothin’ else on. But even I can see this boy’s got talent. He hits that ball a country mile, and he putts pretty good too, most of the time. But those majors, them’s tough to win. You gotta be on your game the whole dang time, no mistakes. And sometimes, I dunno, maybe he gets a little nervous or somethin’. Happens to the best of ’em, I reckon.
That Netflix Show and That Saudi Money
Heard tell he was on that Netflix show, the one about golf. I ain’t seen it, don’t have that fancy Netflix stuff. But they was sayin’ he talked about that Saudi golf league, the LIV thingy. Said he didn’t wanna go over there, play for all that Saudi money. Said it wasn’t right for him. Good for him, I say. Stick to your guns, boy, that’s what I always tell my grandkids. Though, money’s always good, but I guess some things are more important, right?
Caddie Troubles and That Long Drought
And then there’s his caddie, the fella who carries his clubs and helps him figure out where to hit the ball. Heard he had the same caddie for a long time, a fella named Joe. But then they split up, I dunno why. Maybe they got tired of each other, happens in families, happens in golf too I guess. And that Rickie, he went for a long time without winnin’ nothin’, not even a regular tournament, let alone a major. They was callin’ it a drought, like when it don’t rain for a long time. But then just this year, he won that Rocket Mortgage Classic. That’s good news, right? Maybe it means he’s gettin’ back on track, maybe that major win ain’t so far off after all.
So, Will He Ever Win a Major? Your Guess Is as Good as Mine.
So, will he ever win a major? I ain’t got no crystal ball, can’t see the future. But I hope he does, I really do. He seems like a good kid, and he works hard. And it’d be a darn shame if a fella with that much talent never got to hold up one of them big trophies. He’s playin’ at a course where he’s done good before, so maybe, just maybe, this will be his time. But like I said, these majors are tough, real tough. So we’ll just have to wait and see. Keep your fingers crossed for him, why don’t ya? And in the meantime, let’s just enjoy watchin’ him play, ’cause he’s a darn good golfer, major win or not.

We’re all rootin’ for ya, Rickie! Just keep swingin’ that club and doin’ your best. And eventually, if it’s meant to be, that major win will come your way. Just don’t give up, and remember to have some fun out there, that’s what matters.
