Okay, so I’ve been tinkering around with my golf gear again – you know how it is, always chasing that perfect setup. This time, I was really focused on getting my bag dialed in like Rickie Fowler’s. I mean, the guy’s got style and his game is solid, so I figured, why not see what I could learn from his WITB (What’s in the Bag)?

I started by doing some digging. I needed to know exactly what clubs Rickie was using. That’s where I spent the majority of my morning.
My Imitation Journey
Finding the Info:
- I searched some of his games and tried my best to analyze what clubs he used.
After a lot of searching, I managed to compile a list, or at least a pretty good guess, of his current setup. It mainly includes the following:
- Driver,Fairway Woods,Irons,Wedges,Putter,Golf Ball.
The Copycat Process:

- Driver:First thing first, I attempted to find similar spec to Fowler, just grab a driver.
- Fairway Woods:I tried to put the fairway woods into the bag.
- Irons:I chose the similar * felt pretty good.
- Wedges:Wedges,It really needs some skills.
- Putter:I tested out the Putter I just got.
- Golf Ball:Finally,I put the golf ball.
Hitting the Range:
So, I grabbed my “Rickie-fied” bag and headed to the driving range. The first few swings? Let’s just say they weren’t exactly Fowler-esque. I definitely shanked a couple, topped a few others… it was a humbling experience. But hey, that’s golf, right?
I kept at it, though. I started focusing on my tempo, trying to mimic that smooth, controlled swing Rickie has. Slowly but surely, things started to click. I started hitting the ball more consistently, getting a decent launch angle, and even (dare I say it) a little bit of draw.
The Verdict (So Far):
It’s definitely a work in progress. I’m not magically hitting bombs like Rickie Fowler overnight. But I am starting to see the value in paying attention to the details of my equipment and how it all works together. It’s given me a new appreciation for the thought that goes into a pro’s setup, and it’s definitely motivated me to keep practicing and refining my own game. I’ll keep you guys posted on my progress!
