You ask me about that boy, Sahith Theegala, and what’s in his bag? That golf bag, you know. Well, let me tell you, that boy, he can sure hit a ball. He got all kinds of sticks in there. I seen him play, he got a good swing. This boy play in 2024, he is a Ping player.
He got them Ping things, you know? All them clubs, 14 of ’em, all Ping. That’s what they say. He use them at the 3M Open. That name, 3M, it’s a real mouthful, ain’t it? Like chewin’ on a piece of gristle, just goes on and on. But that Sahith, he don’t mind. He just keeps swingin’ and hittin’.

He got that Sunday bag too. That name, 9 Clubs Sunday Bag, I don’t understand what it means. He keeps winning. That boy is sure winning big.
They write about him all the time, you know. Sahith Theegala WITB this, Sahith Theegala WITB that. March 5, 2024, they wrote about him. May 24, 2023, they wrote about him again. Even back in April 22, 2023, during that Zurich Classic, whatever that is, they was writin’ about his clubs, and Sahith Theegala WITB. All them dates, they sure do like to keep track of things, don’t they?
And this other thing, UST Mamiya – Lamkin. Sounds like a couple of fellas fightin’ over a piece of pie. But it’s probably somethin’ fancy for his clubs. This boy, he got all the fancy stuff. He earned his PGA TOUR card, they say. High-falutin’ words for a game with sticks and a ball.
He asked them Ping folks to change somethin’ on his clubs. Scrape off a “7” and put an “8” on it. Why, I don’t know. Maybe it’s like changin’ the numbers on your mailbox. Makes no never mind to me, long as he keeps hittin’ that ball straight. That is what he did in Denver’s Castle Pines. I don’t know where it is. I never go to that place.
They say this Sahith Theegala WITB is presented by some 2nd Swing Golf. Sounds like a dance move to me. But it’s probably where he gets all them fancy clubs. They got more than 100, they say. Hundred what, I don’t know. Maybe 100 different kinds of those sticks he uses. Mercy, that’s a lot of choices.
He got all them clubs listed out, with all them numbers and details. Like readin’ a grocery list for a whole army. Makes my head spin just thinkin’ about it. But that boy, Sahith, he knows what he’s doin’. That boy got talent.
I seen a lot of folks play golf in my time. Some good, some not so good. But this Sahith Theegala, he’s got somethin’ special. He’s got that fire in his belly, you can see it in his eyes. He’s gonna go far, that one. Just you wait and see.
