Alright, so I got curious about what Tom Kim has in his golf bag the other day. You see him on TV, playing some seriously good golf, and you just start wondering, you know? What tools is this guy actually using to hit those shots?

My first move, pretty standard stuff, was just to search online. Fired up the computer and typed in things like “Tom Kim golf clubs” and “Tom Kim WITB”. You get a ton of results right away, mostly articles from the big golf websites and some forum discussions.
But here’s the thing you learn quick: you gotta check the dates. These guys, especially the young ones like Kim, they tinker. They switch stuff out. An article from six months ago might already be outdated. So I started filtering, looking for the most recent posts, maybe tied to a specific tournament he just played in.
Digging a Bit Deeper
I spent some time clicking through different sites. Some just list the clubs, others have photos, which are helpful. You try to cross-reference. If three different sites mention the same driver model from recent sightings, it’s a pretty good bet that’s what he’s currently gaming. Saw lots of Titleist mentions right off the bat, which wasn’t surprising, he’s been with them for a while.
So, piece by piece, I started building a picture:
- Driver: Kept seeing Titleist TSR3 pop up. Seemed like the consensus for his main big stick.
- Fairway Woods: Again, Titleist. Looked like maybe a TSR2 or TSR3 fairway wood, sometimes guys carry different models depending on the course.
- Irons: This one seemed pretty solid. The Titleist T100 irons were mentioned almost everywhere I looked. Makes sense, they’re popular with pros.
- Wedges: No surprise here, Titleist Vokey Design wedges. SM9s, I think? Most Titleist players use Vokeys. Had to check different loft configurations people were reporting.
- Putter: Scotty Cameron, of course. Looked like one of his Phantom X models, maybe the 5.5? Putter specs can be really personal, though.
Putting It All Together
After maybe 20-30 minutes of poking around and comparing notes from different places, I had a decent idea. It wasn’t like I was building his bag for him, just satisfying my own curiosity. You also see mentions of the ball, usually a Pro V1x, and sometimes the shafts, though that info can be harder to confirm consistently. Looked like Graphite Design shafts were mentioned for the woods.

Honestly, the hardest part is just making sure the info is current. Player bags are always evolving. What he used last week might be slightly different next week. But it was interesting to see the consistency, mostly Titleist from top to bottom. Gives you an idea of what gear is performing at the highest level right now. So yeah, that was my little dive into Tom Kim’s bag setup.
