Alright, let’s talk about this wrestling stuff, the WWE heavyweight champion current and all that. I don’t know much, but I watch it sometimes when the grandkids are over. They yell and jump around, so I figure I might as well see what the fuss is about.
So, this Gunther fella, he’s the big man now, the World Heavyweight Champion. Beat that Damien Priest guy at SummerSlam, they tell me. SummerSlam, sounds like a hot day for a fight, eh? I tell ya, these youngsters, they got energy. Gunther, he’s a big fella, looks like he could eat a whole chicken in one bite. And that Damien fella, probably put up a good fight, but Gunther, he’s the champ now. That’s all there is to it.
Then there’s this Bron Breakker fella. He’s the Intercontinental Champion. Second time around, they say. Lost it and then got it back. Sounds like a stubborn mule, that one. Won’t take no for an answer. Good for him, I guess. Got to fight for what you want in this world, ain’t that right?
- Gunther is the World Heavyweight Champion
- Bron Breakker is the Intercontinental Champion
Now, they talk about this Bruno Sammartino. Grandkids say he was a champion a long, long time ago. Held that title for like, eight years or something crazy like that. Eight years! That’s longer than my old rooster lived. That Bruno, he must have been tough as nails. These new guys, they’re strong and all, but eight years? That’s something else.
And it ain’t just the men, you know. There’s this Liv Morgan, she’s the Women’s World Heavyweight Champion. Good for her, I say. Women can be tough too. My grandma, she worked harder than any man I knew. These wrestling women, they ain’t just pretty faces, they’re strong and they know how to fight.
They keep talking about RAW and SmackDown. I don’t know what that is, some kind of TV shows, I guess. Always something new on the TV. Back in my day, we had a radio, and that was about it. These wrestlers, they’re on TV all the time. Fighting and yelling and carrying on. I guess people like to watch that kind of thing.
And then there’s this Bloodline group, I hear them talking about it. They were the Tag Team Champions, but not anymore. Lost their titles in a surprise, they say. Surprise, huh? Like when you find a snake in the chicken coop. Not a good kind of surprise. Those Bloodline fellas, they probably weren’t too happy about that. Nobody likes losing. I remember losing a pie-eating contest when I was a young girl. I was not happy. These wrestlers, it’s more serious business but nobody likes losing no matter what it is.
So, that’s what I know about the WWE Heavyweight Champion and all the other wrestling stuff. It’s a lot of noise and big muscles, but I guess it’s entertaining. The grandkids like it, and that’s good enough for me. They even try to do the moves, little rascals. I told them, “don’t you go hurting each other now!” Wrestling is wrestling but being kind to others is more important.
Anyways, that’s all I got to say about wrestling. Seems like it’s changing all the time. New champs, new shows. Hard to keep up. But one thing stays the same: they’re always fighting for something. A belt, a title, pride, who knows? Just like life, I guess. Always something to fight for.
WWE is always changing, with the current champions battling it out to hold onto their titles. You hear about them on RAW, you hear about them on SmackDown, and sometimes even on the news. I suppose it’s a big deal for some people. More power to ‘em, I say.
