Hey everyone, so I’ve been playing Subnautica lately, and let me tell you, it’s quite the adventure! I realized pretty early on that silicone rubber is super important for crafting a bunch of different things. At first, I had no clue how to get it, but after some trial and error, I figured it out, and I wanted to share my experience with you all.
First off, I needed to find the right ingredients. Turns out, the key is something called Creepvine Seed Clusters. These things are pretty easy to spot – they’re these glowing, yellow, kinda bulbous things attached to Creepvines. You can find these vines growing all over the Kelp Forest biomes, you know, those areas with the tall, green, swaying plants. They’re hard to miss.
So, I started out by gathering a bunch of these Creepvine Seed Clusters. I just swam around the Kelp Forests and plucked them off the vines. They glow, so they were easy to spot even in the darker areas. Once I had a good amount, I headed back to my base.
Now, to turn these seeds into silicone rubber, I needed a Fabricator. If you don’t have one yet, it’s not too hard to make. I had gathered some Titanium, Gold, and Table Coral Samples to build a Builder, and with that, I crafted my Fabricator. It’s a pretty essential piece of equipment in the game.
With my Fabricator ready, I interacted with it and found the silicone rubber recipe under the “Resources” and then “Basic Materials” section. I selected the recipe, and boom, the Fabricator started doing its thing. It takes a few seconds, but before you know it, you’ve got yourself some silicone rubber!
- Swim to a Kelp Forest.
- Gather Creepvine Seed Clusters.
- Build a Fabricator if you haven’t already.
- Use the Fabricator to craft silicone rubber from the Creepvine Seed Clusters.
Honestly, once I got the hang of it, it was pretty straightforward. Now I can craft things like the Fins, which make swimming so much faster, and a bunch of other cool gear. I hope this helps some of you out there who might be struggling with the same thing. Happy crafting, and keep exploring the depths!
