Alright, let’s talk about this new putter I’ve been messing around with – the Spider putter. I’ve heard some good things, and figured I’d give it a shot.
So, first things first, I ordered one online. It arrived in a couple of days, no big deal. Unboxed it, and yeah, it looks pretty slick. Kinda futuristic, which isn’t usually my style, but whatever, it’s about how it plays, right?
I took it to the driving range a few times to get a feel for it. It’s definitely heavier than my old putter. You can adjust the weights, they have this MWT thing, so I played around with that a bit. Tried to find a balance that felt comfortable.
- The first time, I moved to the course.
- I played 9 holes.
- It was a good try.
My Putting Game
Then came the real test – a full 18 holes with the boys last weekend. We had a good time, weather was perfect, and honestly, I think this Spider putter actually helped me. I was sinking more putts than usual, especially those annoying 5-footers that I always seem to miss. This thing just felt stable, you know? Like, it didn’t twist or turn in my hands. They talk about forgiveness with these putters, and I think I get it now. Even when I didn’t hit it perfectly, it still went pretty straight.
And this titanium insert, the AGSI+ they call it, I don’t know the science behind it, but the ball just rolls off the face real nice. I felt like I had better control over the distance, which is huge for me. I’m not trying to make any crazy claims, but I definitely felt more confident on the greens. I mean, the score doesn’t lie. I played one of my better rounds in a while.
So yeah, I’m digging this Spider putter so far. It’s not magic or anything, but it’s definitely a solid club. If you’re struggling with your putting, maybe give it a look. It seems to do what it says it does.
I’ll keep using it, and we’ll see how it goes over the next few months. But for now, I’m pretty happy with the purchase. It helps me a lot.
