Okay, so check it, today I’m diving into something kinda nostalgic – the 2015 San Francisco Giants roster. Yeah, sounds random, right? But bear with me, there’s a reason.
It all started with me reminiscing about the good ol’ days of Giants baseball. You know, those even-year championships? So, first thing I did was fire up Google. Just typed in “2015 san francisco giants roster” – simple as that.
Right away, a bunch of baseball sites popped up – ESPN, *, Baseball-Reference, the usual suspects. I clicked on the Baseball-Reference one first. I like their layout, it’s clean and easy to read.
Then I just started scrolling through the roster. Seeing those names brought back a flood of memories. Buster Posey, obviously. MadBum (Madison Bumgarner), still a legend. But then you start seeing names like Nori Aoki, Casey McGehee… guys you almost forgot were part of that team.
What I really wanted to do was see their stats from that year. Baseball-Reference made it easy – just hover over a player’s name and boom, their stats for 2015 popped up. Pretty cool.
I spent a good hour just digging through it all, comparing batting averages, ERA, RBIs… all that good stuff. Then, I got curious about what happened to some of those guys after 2015. Where did they end up? Did they win any more championships? That sent me down another rabbit hole.

- I checked out some players on other teams.
- Compared there current and past statistics.
After all of that, I decided to put together a quick little list of my favorite players from that 2015 Giants team, just for fun. No big deal, just something to remember the good times.
Here is my final thought.
Overall, it was a fun little trip down memory lane. Simple, but it reminded me why I love baseball, and why the Giants will always hold a special place in my heart. Next time you’re bored, try looking up an old roster of your favorite team – you might be surprised what you find!
