Okay, so yesterday I was messing around with Valspar paint, trying to find some inspo, you know?

First thing I did, I hopped online, figuring Valspar’s gotta have some kind of archive of past winners, right? I mean, they have contests and stuff, design awards, all that jazz.
I started with a simple Google search: “Valspar past winners”. Pretty straightforward.
Next up, I dug through the search results. A lot of it was just general info about Valspar and their paint colors. Found some links to blog posts featuring Valspar colors, but nothing concrete about contest winners. Bummer.
So, I decided to be more specific. I tried things like “Valspar design awards winners,” “Valspar color of the year past winners,” and even “Valspar contest winners archive.” Still not getting exactly what I wanted, but I was getting closer.
Then I thought, “Maybe they have it on their own website.” So, I went straight to Valspar’s website and started poking around. Checked out their “Inspiration” section, their “Projects” section, and even their “About Us” section. Zilch.

Frustrated, I went back to Google and tried a different tactic. Instead of searching for “winners,” I searched for specific Valspar contests or awards programs. That led me to some older press releases and articles mentioning past events. Score!
Turns out, some of these press releases mentioned specific winners from years ago, at least the names and maybe a brief description of their projects. It was like piecing together a puzzle.
From there, I went down a rabbit hole, Googling the names of the winners and their projects. Some of them had online portfolios or articles written about their work. That’s where I finally started finding some real inspiration.
The whole process was kinda tedious, TBH. Valspar doesn’t seem to have a readily available archive of past winners, which is a shame. But with a bit of digging and some creative searching, I managed to find some cool projects and get some good ideas for my own place.
So, the takeaway? If you’re looking for Valspar past winners, be prepared to do some detective work. Use specific search terms, check out old press releases, and don’t be afraid to Google the winners’ names. You might be surprised what you find. Good luck!
