Alright, let’s talk about something I got into recently – that mobile game, “Reverse: 1999”. I’ve been playing it quite a bit, and I thought I’d share my thoughts on the characters. Specifically, I wanna go through my own personal tier list.
So, I started playing this game, like everyone else, I guess, totally blind. No guides, no nothing. I just downloaded it and jumped right in. Pulled a few characters, and you know how it is, some are obviously stronger than others. I’ve seen those tier lists online, talking about “S” tier and “A” tier and all that, so I kinda get the gist.
First off, I pulled Black Dwarf. Man, this character is a beast! Seriously, she carried me through a lot of the early game. Super strong, hits like a truck. I was pretty stoked to get her.
- Black Dwarf: As I mentioned, a powerhouse. Definitely a top-tier pick for me.
Then I got Pickles. I don’t know why but when I heard his name, I thought maybe he is a useless one. But nope! This dog is surprisingly good! Not as strong as Black Dwarf, but definitely holds his own. I’d say he’s a solid “A” for me.
- Pickles: A good boy, indeed. Solid damage, not the best, but reliable.
Another one I got lucky with is Shamane. This guy, let me tell you, he’s something else. His abilities are just insane. I put him in my team, and boom, suddenly everything became a lot easier. “S” tier, no doubt about it.
- Shamane: Crazy good. Top-tier for sure. One of the best in the game, as I think.
Tooth Fairy was another character I got. And I really like her! She’s not just about damage, she’s got these healing abilities too, which are super useful. I was like, “Yes, finally, a good support!”
- Tooth Fairy: A great support, good damage, and heals. A must-have in my opinion.
I also got Melania and Diggers. They’re pretty good too, I guess. They do their job. I don’t have much to say about them, to be honest. They are not bad, but they didn’t really stand out to me that much. But I heard some other players say Melania is so good. Maybe I didn’t use her very well.
- Melania: Seems okay. I’ve heard good things about her, but I haven’t really seen it yet.
- Diggers: He’s fine. Does his job, I suppose. Nothing special, but not terrible either.
I also pulled Kanjira and Horropedia. They are new to me, and I haven’t had the chance to use them that much. I need to spend more time with them to really see what they can do. Oh, and Blooney. Yeah, I got her too. Same as those two, I need to play with her more.
- Kanjira, Horropedia, and Blooney: Too early to tell. I need to use them more.
Now, I’ve seen some people online say that these tier lists are a scam. They say that every character can be good if you build them right and put them in the right team. And you know what? They’re kinda right. I mean, I’ve seen people do crazy stuff with characters that are supposedly “low tier”. It all depends on how you play the game, I guess. I remember seeing someone online saying Necrologist is a very strong character. But I didn’t get her so I can’t say if it is true.
But still, having strong characters from the start does make things a bit easier. It’s not everything, but it helps, especially when you’re just starting out and don’t really know what you’re doing. Like, if I didn’t have Black Dwarf and Shamane, I probably would’ve had a much harder time in the beginning.
My final thought?
Tier lists are not the be-all and end-all, but they can be a good starting point. They give you an idea of which characters are generally considered strong. But at the end of the day, it’s all about how you use them. Experiment, try different combinations, and see what works for you. And most importantly, have fun! That’s what really matters, right?
