Hey guys, I’ve been messing around with a fun little project lately – a Super Mario quiz. Yeah, you heard that right! I’m a big fan, you know, and I always wanted to make something Mario-related. So, I just started with this simple idea. It’s been a wild ride, so let me walk you through what I’ve been up to.
First things first, I needed some questions. I mean, what’s a quiz without questions, right? I started brainstorming all the stuff I could remember about Mario. I started thinking about the basics, like, how old is Mario supposed to be? I found out from somewhere that he’s about 24–25 years old. I was surprised. I always thought that he’s older. And then I started to dig more about the original games, characters, power-ups, enemies, you name it. I spent a whole afternoon just writing down questions and answers on a bunch of sticky notes. My desk was a mess, but a beautiful, Mario-themed mess!
Then came the fun part, making it all work. I’m not a coder or anything, but I know my way around some basic quiz makers online. There are lots of tools to help us make quizzes, like Google forms. I picked one that looked easy enough and started plugging in my questions. I decided to go with multiple-choice questions because, well, they’re just easier to deal with.
- Question 1: How old is Mario?
- Options:
- a. 18-20
- b. 24-25
- c. 30-35
I tried to make the quiz a good mix of easy and hard questions. Some are super obvious, like “What’s the name of Mario’s brother?” Others are a bit trickier, like, “Which power-up lets Mario shoot fireballs?” I even threw in some about the different game levels and stuff. I wanted to make it challenging even for the biggest Mario nerds out there.
After getting all the questions in, I started playing around with the design. I wanted it to look fun and colorful, just like the games. I added some pixel art images of Mario, Luigi, and some of the power-ups. It was starting to look like a real, proper quiz!
Of course, I had to test it out myself. I went through the whole quiz multiple times, making sure everything worked and that the questions made sense. I even roped in a couple of friends to test it out and give me some feedback. They caught a few typos and suggested a couple of extra questions, which was super helpful.
Finally, after all that tinkering, my Super Mario quiz was ready! I’ve shared it with some online communities, and people seem to be having a blast with it. It’s been really cool to see folks enjoying something I made, especially something that’s all about one of my favorite game series.
Anyway, that’s my little Super Mario quiz adventure. It’s been a fun project, and it’s reminded me how much I love the world of Mario. Maybe I’ll try making some other game quizzes in the future. Who knows? But for now, I’m just happy to have this little piece of the Mushroom Kingdom that I can call my own.
