Okay, so I got really into golf lately, and like everyone else, I’m a huge Jordan Spieth fan. Naturally, I wanted to know what clubs he’s using – you know, hoping some of that magic might rub off. So, I went on a deep dive to figure out his “What’s in the bag” (WITB) setup. I figured I’d share my journey, ’cause it was quite the adventure.

The Hunt Begins
First, I just started Googling. Simple enough, right? “Jordan Spieth WITB” – typed that in, hit enter, and bam! A ton of articles and forum posts popped up. Most of them were outdated, though. Golfers change their gear pretty often, so finding something current was my first challenge.
Digging Through the Weeds
I spent a good hour just clicking through different websites. Some had partial lists, some had conflicting info. It was like a jigsaw puzzle with missing pieces. Forums were a mixed bag – some people seemed to know what they were talking about, others were just guessing. I quickly learned to be skeptical and cross-reference everything.
Finding Reliable Sources
I finally stumbled upon a few articles from pretty well-known golf websites. These seemed more legit. They had recent tournament photos and even some quotes from Spieth himself talking about his clubs. This felt like progress!
Piecing It Together
From these better sources, I started building my own list. I opened up a simple text document and started jotting down the clubs:
- Driver: Titleist something or other (had to check the model number a few times)
- Fairway Woods: Seemed like he switches these up depending on the course
- Irons: Definitely Titleist, but the specific set took some digging
- Wedges: Vokey, of course! But getting the lofts right was tricky
- Putter: The famous Scotty Cameron! This one was easy.
- Ball:Titleist Pro V1x, that’s what all of pro uses.
Confirming the Details
Even with the better articles, I wasn’t 100% sure. So, I went to social media. I checked out Spieth’s Twitter (or X, or whatever it is now) and Instagram, looking for any recent posts about his gear. I also looked at photos from recent tournaments – zoomed in on those clubs like a detective!

The Final (Probably) WITB
After all that digging, I felt pretty confident I had a good understanding of his current setup. It’s not perfect, and it might change next week, but it’s way better than what I started with. It felt good, like I’d solved a mini-mystery. Now, if only I could hit the ball like him…
it is very intresting.
