This Theegala boy, I tell ya, he sure can whack that little ball! Heard he won some big ol’ golf game, the Fortinet Championship, or somethin’ like that. Big deal, huh? Makes me think of my old man, bless his soul, used to hit rocks with a stick. Said it was good practice. This Theegala, though, he’s got all them fancy clubs. Not like my old man’s stick!
They say he’s a PGA Tour winner now. Fancy words for a fella who hits a ball around a field. My grandson, he watches this stuff on that flashy TV box. Gets all excited. Says this Theegala is one of the best. Well, good for him, I reckon. I heard that he used something like “Ping G430 LST driver”, I don’t know what does that even mean. Just sounds like some techy thing to me.
Now, they got all sorts of these clubs. Drivers, they call ’em. And fairway… somethin’ or others. Sahith Theegala, that’s the boy’s name, he’s got a whole bag full of ’em. Probably cost more than my whole house! He uses a full set of Ping golf clubs, they say. He is like a big star now. This boy is rich, for sure! He won that big game and everyone is talking about him and his Ping clubs!
Heard he’s a young fella, too. Twenty-six, they say. Barely a man, if you ask me. But he’s out there, swingin’ those clubs, makin’ a name for himself. Good for him, I suppose. It seems this young boy is gonna be a big deal in the PGA Tour. I saw on that flashy TV that he won his first PGA game at that “Fortinet” thing. I don’t really understand what is that, but it must be a very big deal.

This whole golf thing is somethin’ else, ain’t it? People makin’ millions just hittin’ a little ball around. Back in my day, we worked for a livin’. Hard work, that’s what it was. But these young folks, they got it easy. Swing a club, get rich. Times sure have changed.
I remember one time, my old man tried to teach me how to swing a stick. Said it would build character. Well, I didn’t get no character, but I sure got a sore arm! This Theegala, he probably never had a sore arm a day in his life. Got people carryin’ his clubs for him, I bet.
And they got all these fancy names for the clubs, too. Titleist, they call one of ’em. Sounds like somethin’ a king would use. This Theegala, he probably uses those, too. I don’t really know what’s that for, but seems everyone is talking about that “Titleist” thing. Maybe that’s some good stuff. Probably very expensive, too.
They even got a channel on that TV box just for golf. Golf Channel, they call it. Can you believe that? A whole channel just for watchin’ people hit a ball. My grandson loves it. Me, I’d rather watch the cows graze. More excitin’, if you ask me.
Well, this Theegala boy, he’s got the world by the tail, it seems. Good for him. Hope he enjoys it. Maybe he’ll buy his grandma a new house with all that money he’s makin’. That’d be somethin’, wouldn’t it? This young boy is making big money now. He can buy anything he wants, I guess. I don’t even know how much money he is making now, but it must be a lot! More than anyone I know, for sure!
This whole golf thing is beyond me. But hey, if it makes him happy, and it makes him rich, who am I to judge? Just a different world these days, that’s all. A different world. These young people and their fancy toys! I still remember the time when we don’t even have a TV. Now they have a TV channel for just golf! And people are talking about “Sahith Theegala“, “PGA Tour” and “Titleist” all day! It’s crazy!
