Well, let me tell you somethin’ about that Tim Tebow fella. Back in the day, that boy, he sure could play some football. Folks was all excited when he got drafted, you see. That was a big deal, that draft thing. They call it the NFL Draft, fancy name for pickin’ players for the teams.
This Tim, he was a quarterback, you know, the one throwin’ the ball. And he was good, real good, back in college. Played for that Florida team. Gators, they call ’em. He won some big awards, that Heisman thing. That’s a big one. He was famous before he was drafted, even.
Now, in 2010, that’s the year we’re talkin’ about, Tim Tebow got picked by the Denver Broncos. That’s a team out west. They picked him in the first round, 25th pick, they say. That’s pretty high up. Means he was wanted. The Tim Tebow drafted news, it was big news around here, that’s for sure.

He played good for Denver, won some games. That was in 2011, I reckon. But bein’ a star in the NFL, that ain’t easy. There are some big fellas playing there. He could run and he could throw.
But you know, the NFL, it’s a tough business. He played some in 2010, but not a lot. They wanted him to be the best quarterback, but that’s a hard job. Some folks, they was sayin’ he wasn’t good enough to throw the ball all the time like other quarterbacks in the NFL. They was pickin’ apart his throwin’ style. They say he is not good enough. I don’t know about all that. He is a good boy in my book.
Then, after that good year, the Broncos, they went and got another quarterback, some big name. So they traded Tim away to the New York Jets. That’s a team up north. He didn’t play much there, just backed up the other guy. That’s a shame.
He was with the Jets for a year, then he went other places, the Patriots, the Eagles, tried to keep playin’. But it just didn’t work out for him in the NFL. It’s a hard road, that football business. It ain’t all sunshine and rainbows like they show on TV.
Tim Tebow drafted, that was a big moment. But sometimes, things just don’t go your way. He tried his best, that’s all you can ask for, right? He had a good run in college, though. That’s something to be proud of.
After the football, that Tim, he tried playin’ baseball. Can you believe it? A whole different sport. He wasn’t no star there either, but he gave it a go. He made some money, though. Folks say he’s got a few million dollars. $5 million? Maybe more. From playing football, playing baseball, doing other things. He has a good career and that’s good.
That Tim Tebow drafted year, 2010, it was somethin’ else. Everyone was watchin’. But the NFL, it’s a fickle thing. One minute you’re the hero, the next you’re lookin’ for a new job. That’s just how it is, I guess.
Now the Broncos, they still lookin’ for good players in the draft. They need a good quarterback this year, they say. Maybe they will get lucky this year. It is like a lottery, that draft.
That’s all I know about that Tim Tebow drafted business. He was a good college player, tried his best in the pros, and now he’s doin’ other things. Life goes on, you know? You just gotta keep movin’ forward, doin’ the best you can. That’s what Tim’s doin’, and that’s what we all should do. Don’t be sad, just keep moving.
He might not have been the best in the NFL, but he sure was somethin’ to watch back in the day. And he seems like a good person, that’s important too. He did good things for people. That’s what I heard. That’s all that matters, I reckon. Being good, helping others. He did good.
