Okay, so I wanted to mess around with that “current Italian golfers” thing today. I’ve always been intrigued by golf, though I’m not exactly a pro, you know? So, I thought, why not dive in and see what I can find out about these Italian golfers?
First things first, I started by just Googling “current Italian golfers”.
I was immediately hit with a bunch of websites, like sports news and all, and I started to skim through them. I noticed a few names popping up more often than others, like, Francesco Molinari and Guido Migliozzi.
Then, I decided to dig a little deeper. I went to some ranking sites to see who’s currently on top. From what I gathered, Francesco Molinari is like, a big deal. He’s been around for a while and seems to have a pretty solid track record. Apparently, as of 2020, he had the highest Official World Golf Ranking score among Italian male golfers.
But then there’s this younger guy, Guido Migliozzi, who’s apparently making waves. I read somewhere that he’s just 24 and already being called the top-ranked Italian golfer in the world right now. That’s pretty cool for such a young player, right?
I also tried to check out some lists of the best Italian golfers ever. Costantino Rocca was mentioned quite a bit. It seems he was the most successful Italian male golfer until Molinari came along.
I spent a good chunk of my afternoon just browsing through these lists and articles. One website even had votes on the best Italian golfers, and Molinari was at the top there, too.

What I Realized
After all this, I realized that Italy has some seriously talented golfers, both veterans and up-and-comers. It’s interesting to see how the sport is evolving, with new players challenging the established ones. I guess this little research project of mine turned out to be more fascinating than I expected. I might even start following these guys more closely from now on. Who knows, maybe I’ll even pick up a golf club myself one of these days?
