Okay, so I’ve been messing around with Heroes of the Storm again lately, and I figured it was time to put together a little tier list. I mean, who doesn’t love a good tier list, right?
First, I jumped back into the game. I hadn’t played in a while, so I needed to shake off the rust. I played a bunch of Quick Matches, just to get a feel for how the different heroes were performing.
Then, I started taking notes. I mean, lots of notes. I made a simple spreadsheet, you know, nothing fancy. I listed out all the heroes and started jotting down my thoughts after each game. Stuff like, “Valla feels super strong right now,” or “Uther’s healing seems kinda weak.”
My ranking criteria!
- Win Rate: how heroes win in a game.
- Popularity: How many times a hero has been played.
- Versatility: Which hero is suitable for multiple roles.
After that, I needed to decide if I focus on quick matches or ranked mode, I focused on ranked mode matches. I think is more accurate on how strong or weak the hero is.
Finally after gathering data, I started sorting the heroes into tiers. I went with the classic S, A, B, C, D tiers. “S” being the best, “D” being, well, you know… not so great.
It’s all just my opinion, based on my own games and what I’ve seen. I am not say I’m some pro gamer. But hopefully, it’s helpful for someone out there!
