Well, hey there! Let’s gab a bit about them…what-cha-ma-call-its… Toy-dare-ee-ans, yeah, that’s it! Them little fly-like fellas from that Star Wars thingy my grandson’s always yappin’ about.
What are these Toydarians anyway?
Now, from what I gather, these Toydarians ain’t your average Joe. They look like big ol’ flies, kinda like the ones buzzin’ around the porch light in the summer, but with arms and legs and such. They got wings too, and some kinda snout. Heard tell they got webbed feet too, like a duck! Imagine that! And get this, they’re real stubborn-like. Can’t be fooled easy, not even with that “Force” mumbo jumbo the Jedi use.
Where do you find these Toydarians?
Seems they hang out on some planet called Batuu, way out yonder in the galaxy. It’s like, on the edge of everything, between places nobody knows nothin’ about and places that are just plain wild. Disney, yeah, that big company that makes all them cartoons, they made a whole land about it in their park. My grandson says it’s called “Galaxy’s Edge” and it ain’t goin’ nowhere. You can go there and see all sorts of Star Wars stuff, including, I reckon, these Toydarians or stuff about ’em.
- Batuu: This is the planet where they mostly hang out, seems like a dusty ol’ place.
- Black Spire Outpost: This is the town or somethin’ on Batuu where you can find all sorts of folks, maybe even a Toydarian or two. Heard there’s a shop there, a toy shop run by a Toydarian!
What’s this about Toydarian trade?
Now, this is where it gets interestin’. These Toydarians, they ain’t just flyin’ around buzzin’ for nothin’. They’re traders! They buy and sell stuff, like them fellas down at the flea market, only with spaceships and laser guns, I guess. They’re real good at it too, shrewd as can be. My grandson was tellin’ me about it, somethin’ about Toydarian trade bein’ a big deal in them Star Wars movies. Seems like these fellas are wheelin’ and dealin’ all over the place, sellin’ this and that.
The Toydarian Toymaker Shop
And speaking of sellin’ stuff, there’s this shop on Batuu, at that Black Spire Outpost place. It’s called the “Toydarian Toymaker,” and wouldn’t ya know it, it’s full of toys! Handmade toys, mind you, not that plastic junk you find at the dollar store. Sounds like a real magical place, even for an old gal like me. My grandson showed me pictures, all sorts of weird and wonderful critters and contraptions. Seems like this Toydarian toymaker fella is real clever.
Why should you care about Toydarians?
Well, maybe you don’t, and that’s just fine. But it seems to me like these Toydarians are a pretty important part of that Star Wars world. They’re tough, they’re smart, and they know how to make a deal. And if you ever find yourself on Batuu, you might just wanna stop by that toy shop and see what they got. Might find somethin’ you like, or at least somethin’ to make ya scratch your head and say, “Well, I’ll be…”
In a nutshell…
So, there you have it. Toydarians are fly-like fellas from a planet far, far away. They’re traders, they’re stubborn, and they make some mighty fine toys. If you ever run into one, don’t try to pull a fast one on ’em, they’re too smart for that. And if you’re lookin’ for a unique gift, maybe somethin’ handmade and a little bit outta this world, well, you know where to go.
That’s all I got to say about them Toy-dare-ee-ans. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go shoo a fly off my pie. Funny, that fly kinda reminds me of somethin’…
