Well, let me tell ya ’bout this fella, Tyler Ekenberg. I don’t know much, but I heard some things, seen some things on that there internet thingy. Seems like he’s a busy young man, always up to somethin’.
First off, he’s got this Instagram thing. My grandkid showed me. Says he’s got, what was it, over a thousand followers? That’s a lot of folks, more than our whole town! And he’s followin’ even more people, over five thousand! Must be tiring, keepin’ up with all them folks. He posts pictures too, over four hundred of ’em. Pictures of what? I dunno, probably his life, whatever young folks do these days.
Then there’s that LinkedIn place. Sounds fancy, like where all the important people go. He’s got a profile there too. What’s it say? I ain’t sure, all them words are too much for my old eyes. But it looks important, all business-like.
- Seems like he likes that golf game. I seen some things about him playin’ golf. Hit them little balls with a stick, tryin’ to get ’em in a hole. Sounds silly to me, but folks seem to like it.
- One time, he did real good, they called him a “medalist.” Shot a one-under par, whatever that means. Sounds good though, like he won somethin’. Had to play at some place called Ridges at Sand Creek to get into somethin’ bigger, the Minnesota State Open. Big deal, I guess.
- And wouldn’t you know it, even with all that good golfin’, he had trouble with them long holes, over 500 yards they said! Gave back some strokes, lost some points. Golf sounds complicated, I tell ya.
He’s been around, this Tyler Ekenberg. Went to some school called The University of North Alabama. Learned stuff, I reckon. And now he’s doin’ somethin’ with golf still, but not playin’ as much. He’s a “Wind and Yardage Consultant” now, for those lady golfers on the LPGA tour. Helpin’ ’em figure out how far to hit the ball, I guess. Smart fella, knowin’ all that wind stuff.
People are always curious about these young folks, wantin’ to know about their personal lives. This Tyler, he keeps things pretty quiet, they say. Don’t go blabbin’ about everything online, unlike some folks. But people still talk, you know how it is. They see him with someone, they start wonderin’. Always tryin’ to put two and two together.
Now, don’t get him mixed up with another fella named Tyler Hynes. That’s a different story altogether. He’s an actor, on them TV shows. This Ekenberg fella, he’s all about golf, seems like. Though who knows what young folks will do next. Always changin’ their minds, these kids.
So that’s what I know about Tyler Ekenberg. He’s a golfer, a consultant, got a lot of followers online, went to college, and keeps his personal life private. Seems like a good young man, workin’ hard, doin’ his thing. More than I can say for some of the youngsters ’round here, always gettin’ into trouble. Golf, consulting, instagram, university, that’s Tyler Ekenberg for ya. Just a young fella makin’ his way in the world, same as everyone else. And that’s all there is to it, far as I can tell.
