Okay, so, I gotta tell you guys about what happened with Tyler Lockett last week, week 2. It was a wild ride, let me just say.
So, first things first, I started digging into Lockett’s recent performances. You know, just to see where the guy’s at. Turns out, it’s his 10th season with the Seahawks. 10th! Can you believe it? The dude’s a veteran, the longest-tenured Seahawk on the team, in fact.
I found out he had just one reception for 22 yards in one of the games which is not great at all. Then, I saw that he and DK Metcalf both got full participation in Friday’s practice. They were dealing with some injuries – shoulder for DK and knee for Lockett. Full participation, though, that’s a good sign. So I’m thinking, alright, Lockett’s in, he’s ready to go, this could be a comeback week.
Then, game day rolls around. And man, Lockett, he scores the Seahawks’ first touchdown of the game! I was so excited, jumping up and down like a little kid.
And that’s not all. They even gave the man the Steve Largent Award. I had to look it up, but it’s a pretty prestigious award for the team. So, it’s clear Lockett is not just performing on the field, he’s respected by the whole organization.
- Started with performance analysis
- Checked injury reports
- Watched the game
- Looked up the award
- Celebrated Lockett’s success
What I Did
I also checked out some news about Lockett. There were talks about his contract and how his role has changed with the team. That’s another thing. His future with the Seahawks is still a big question mark, but the man’s still putting in work, that’s what matters to me.
All in all, following Tyler Lockett’s week 2 was an experience. From doing my research to watching him shine on the field and get that award, it was a reminder of why I love this sport. And hey, it shows that even with changes and uncertainties, a player’s dedication and performance can still make a huge impact.
