Okay, so the other day I was trying to do this crossword, right? And there was this one clue that really got me scratching my head: “Unlikely duo?” I mean, what could that be? I stared at it for like, a good ten minutes, went and made myself a cup of coffee, came back, and still nothing.
So, I started to do what I always do when I’m stuck – I googled it. I typed in “unlikely duo crossword clue” and, boom, a bunch of results popped up. It turns out this was a clue from the LA Times crossword, specifically from May 5, 2024. I saw there were like, 40 possible answers in one of the databases I came across. Can you believe it? Forty!
I clicked through a few different sites. Some of them just listed a single possible solution, others gave a few choices. One site even offered to help with any crossword clue, which is pretty cool, but I was just focused on this one for now. I also came across a clue about Washington Post.
I saw a couple of answers that seemed to fit, but they just didn’t feel right. It is really frustrating when facing that. I thought it was over. I began to give up, but I took another look at the puzzle.
Finally, after going through a few more of those search results, it hit me! The answer was right there, and it made perfect sense. I won’t spoil it for anyone who’s still working on that puzzle, but let’s just say it was a real “aha!” moment.
Here are some tips after this practice:
- Firstly, do not give up. Sometimes taking a break is the best strategy.
- Secondly, use the Internet. There are so many helpful resources out there when you’re stuck on a crossword clue.
- Thirdly, if there are many possible solutions, try them one by one in the puzzle and see if they fit.
It’s funny how these little puzzles can be so satisfying to solve. It’s not just about getting the right answer, but also about the process of figuring it out. I did not give up and finally got the answer. That’s what I learned from this “unlikely duo” challenge.
