Okay, so I finally got my hands on the NCAA 25 Deluxe Edition, and let me tell you, it was a bit of a journey. I decided to go for the Deluxe Edition because, well, who doesn’t want that three-day early access? Plus, those extra goodies sounded pretty sweet.
First off, I pre-ordered it. You know, to make sure I could jump in as soon as possible. The Deluxe Edition set me back $99.99, which, yeah, is a bit steep, but I figured the perks would make it worth it.
Once I got the code, I punched it in, logged into the game, and then fired up Ultimate Team. That’s where all the Deluxe Edition stuff was waiting for me. I got 4600 College Football Points right off the bat. These points are super handy for getting packs and stuff in Ultimate Team, so that was a nice little boost.
Then there was the Alma Mater Ultimate Team Pack. I got to choose one player item out of 134. Now, I spent a good chunk of time debating who to pick. It’s tough, you know? You want someone who’s going to make a real impact on your team. Finally, I made my choice and added the player to my roster. And also, I got a Cover Athlete Ultimate Team Pack, I chose one of three players who are on the cover of NCAA 25, which gave my team another powerful player.
- Early Access: This was the big one for me. I got to start playing on July 16th instead of waiting until the official release on July 19th. Those three extra days felt like a lifetime in the gaming world. I dove right in and started exploring all the new features.
- Extra Credit Pack: I haven’t fully explored this one yet, but it seems like it has some cool stuff in it. I saw some mentions of picking specific items, so I’m excited to see what I can get my hands on.
- Ultimate Team Uniform Item: Alright, this one’s just for looks, but hey, who doesn’t want their team to look sharp? I got the Bring Glory Home Ultimate Team Uniform, and I gotta say, it does look pretty slick. My team’s definitely going to be turning heads on the field.
So far, I’ve been grinding through the game, trying to level up and earn those trophies. I heard you can get them at levels 10, 20, 30, 35, and 40. It’s a bit of a grind, but I’m determined to snag them all.
Overall
Was the Deluxe Edition worth it? For me, yeah, I think so. The early access alone was huge, and the extra Ultimate Team stuff is a nice bonus. Plus, there are PS5 and Xbox Series XS players have access to the exclusive MVP Bundle, but unfortunately, I don’t have those game consoles. If you’re a big NCAA fan and you’re planning on sinking a lot of hours into the game, I’d say it’s worth considering. Just be prepared to shell out a bit of extra cash. It’s the same game as the standard edition, just with some extra bells and whistles. So, if you’re on the fence, think about how much those extras mean to you. Anyway, I’m going to get back to playing. Game on!
